• PVCC is hosting *two* Program Spotlights this week at 6:30pm:  tonight, Monday, May 2 is on the Health Information Management (Medical Billing & Coding) and Medical Administrative Support Assistant programs.  Tomorrow, Tuesday, May 3 will be on the Workforce Services' Skilled Trades programs.  Advance registration required.  Click on the date of the event to register. 
• Virginia Career Works (VCW) hosts a weekly virtual job search prep workshop on Tuesdays, at 2pm. This week's topic on May 3 is Resume Writing. Registration required. Their Thursday, May 5, 1pm, Employer of the Week is  UVA Temps. They have jobs in both the Academic and Medical divisions; this week's featured jobs include full-time or part-time IT Support Technician ($22/hour), UVA Latino Health Initiative Program Assistant ($19+/hour), float pool Access Associates ($15/hour), part-time or full-time Administrative Assistants ($20+/hour), Swim or Tennis Instructors ($15-20/hour), and a UVA Bilingual Data Collector ($20-25/hour). Registration required. 
• UVA is hosting a virtual Transfer Advising Information Session on Tuesday, May 3, at 12:00 noon.  
• Attention RNs who want to work in Richmond - Bon Secours is hosting a Virtual New Grad Interview Summit on Tuesday, May 3, 2-6:30pm. Registration required.  
• Interested in a real estate career?  Keller Williams Alliance is hosting an in-person information session on Wednesday, May 4 at 12noon via the Open Doors program.  Advance registration required.  
• Mark your calendar and register by Monday, May 9.  National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) is hosting an in-person hiring event on Wednesday, May 12, 1-4pm at Northside Library, 705 W. Rio Road. They have four entry-level positions that they're recruiting for:  IT Specialist (Network or InfoSec), Intelligence Specialist (all three pay $44,740-58,158) and an Intelligence Assistant ($32,283-$41,967). • A private family in Earlysville seeks a part-time or full-time child care provider for their two children with different developmental delays. Pay starts at $15/hour during training.
• Albemarle Co. was great to post a number of positions on CCN (a job listing resource open to all to use) - FT/PT Lifeguards ($15/hour), a FT Foster Care Family Services Specialist ($50-60,305), and a FT Dept. of Social Services Specialist ($46,839-56,206).  They have also started hiring for part-time After School Assistants paying $14.28-17.14/hour.

• Encompass Health is hiring a Clinical Marketing Rehab Liaison in Charlottesville, VA. This has a $5000 sign-on bonus and does require some experience (or bachelor’s degree).
• Oakland School is hiring for the summer. They're looking for Teachers, Teaching Assistants and a Camp Nurse (must be LPN or RN). Learn more on their website.
• The International Rescue Committee seeks a full-time Youth Program Specialist. A minimum of two years of experience doing human service work is preferred (still apply if you don't have a bachelor's degree - that's just a preference; not a requirement).  
• Charlottesville Parks & Rec is hiring for several positions for their summer camp: Camp Counselor ($15/hour), Inclusion Counselor ($16/hour), Inclusion Coordinator ($21-23/hour) & Assistant Director ($16.50/hour). Applicants must be able to work 40 hours per week from June 13th-July 29th (no weekends and off for July 4th!). 
• UVA is paying a sign-on bonus and $15.99-$24.78/hour for this full-time Phlebotomist position.
• UVA seeks a full-time Endoscopy Technician paying $15.68 - $24.30 Hourly. Must have nursing assistant certification or possess a valid EMT at time of hire. 2 years of endoscopy experience may be accepted in lieu of nursing assistant or EMT licensure requirement.
• Fresenius Kidney Care has a Nurse Residency program that has $10,000 in bonuses! The nearest locations are in Lake of the Woods, Louisa and Goochland.  
• Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA seeks a full-time Surgical Veterinary Assistant. You do NOT need to be a licensed Vet Tech. Interested candidates must submit a cover letter and resume to careers@caspca.org. No calls or walk-ins, please.
• Attention Veterinary Technicians interested in working in different locations around the state - The VA Dept. of Agriculture & Consumer Services is hiring Animal Care Inspectors paying $37,042-$47,250. Apply by May 25. 
• The Virginia ABC hires Special Agents.  Their statewide salary is $64,000 with an increase to $68,000 after successful completion of 26 weeks academy. 
• Loudoun Co. Sheriff's Office (near No.Va.) is hiring with paying $53,500-70,000!
• West Virginia State Police is hiring Troopers with a salary of $48,524 during enlistment that goes to $55,784 after training

• This Friday, May 6, is the deadline for both the UVA Finance ($13/hour) *and* Community Investment Collaborative ($15/hour) summer internships that were designed just for PVCC students.  These are great opportunities for business or accounting students!
• PVCC is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant and Lab Coordinator at the Eugene Giuseppe Center in Greene County to support nursing and health sciences programs being offered there. This position pays $40-45,000.
• PVCC is also hiring a PT HR assistant to work on the main campus paying $15.50/hr. Flexible schedule!

• The Voter Empowerment Project internship program pays $16/hour PLUS they seek volunteers to assist with the project as well.
• Virginia Organizing (which organizes to build power in underrepresented communities) has two very interesting full-time openings right now - an Organizer which starts at $39,000 and a Climate Equity Policy Fellowship (June 2022-June 2025) with a starting salary of $45,000/year.
• Blue Ridge Health District has an Office Specialist opening in Louisa that pays $18/hour.
