Hello Everyone, I hope you're well! A Painting Zone Retreat is coming up on Sat 28 and Sunday 29 May!

It seems a long time since the Watercolour classes at OSO Arts Centre. I haven't seen many of you since March 2020, and I hope youi're well and happy.

Just around that time, I moved to Cirencester in The Cotswolds. I was very lucky to find a sweet, characterful art studio close to the town centre, which is where I now make my own art and where I've taught painting classes since last September. I absolutely love the creative peace and beauty of living in Cirencester and the surrounding area is also a fascinating place to explore.

You might possibly recollect from the mists of time, that I hoped some day to organise Cotswold painting retreat-style weekends. The first one actually took place at the end of January!
According to reports received, the occasion much enjoyed by both participants as well as by me. Subjects from landscape views in Cirencester to characterful trees and portraits were painted in acrylic paints. All materials were included but participants preferring to bring watercolours, own brushes and watercolour paper were free to do so. Light lunches were provided each day, and B&Bs were within five minutes walk of the studio. One member of the Barnes OSO classes took part, whom I was very pleased to see and to exchange news updates with.

There is another Painting Zone weekend retreat coming up at the end of this month, on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May. Several of you have emailed me mentioning that you may be interested in coming to a painting weekend here, and I'm wondering if you may be interested in joining us?

If so, there are more details on the Painting Zone website, where there is information available if you click the picture then click "Description." You can reserve your place by paying a deposit online. I'm offering a special 10% price discount to previous members of my Barnes OSO group. Two former members of the OSO classes have already reserved places. It would really be great to see some or all of the OSO class reunited and painting together here in Cirencester!
