You might not know that UW Hillel is one of the oldest Hillels in the world–serving Jewish students here in Madison for 98 years! In 1924, there were 300 Jewish students at the University of Wisconsin. Today that number is nearing 5,000! Through all of the changes Badgers have seen on campus, UW Hillel has been providing a home for students to connect with other Jewish students and learn about our tradition.

This year, and every year going forward, UW Hillel will provide hundreds of events per year for students, at no cost to them, including:
- 3,000 Shabbat dinners
- 650 Passover meals
- 500 cups of coffee with Hillel staff
- Helping over 100 students travel to Israel
- Sponsoring 30 student interns
- 5 Jewish Learning cohorts led by our Rabbis and staff
- Immeasurable moments of Jewish discovery and connection
