We had 65 Airmen turn out for a volunteer work day at a local wounded warrior type ranch. It was great PR for the Base, the Chapel and of course our Stride ministry since I headed it up. It was a lot of fun and we got to meet many new Airmen. We always hope that as relationships are built we can share Christ with some of them one day :)
My ministry partner Steven is a strong leader in teaching Airmen to backpack and has many trips planned this year. It's an excellent ministry opportunity with so much time together as they hike 5-15 miles daily. The photo below is of a trip already taken this year. UTAH is filled with so many National and State parks!
BAPTISMS! 3 of our regular attenders are new-ish believers and have grown in our ministry and have asked to be baptized! If you look closely at the photo, you will see me in waders :) This spring has been very cold in Utah. In fact, it snowed on us a few days ago, therefore, I took the easy way to baptize!
Sometimes silly things draw us together. Nearly our whole ministry does a daily Wordle puzzle together and posts their results with one another. It's a fun way to promote daily interaction, unity, and fellowship. Who knows? Maybe one day it will lead to spiritual conversations!
Audrey is graduating High School in a few weeks! She has worked very hard and has 2 years of college done already! She will be moving to Alaska this summer to spend time with her Grandma, Aunts, Uncle & Cousins. She hopes to attend Nursing School perhaps next winter. I will miss her so very much! If you happen to be in Utah, you are welcome to drop in on her open house graduation party.
