Hi everyone,
There's so much happening in this last month of the school year! This is a bit lengthy, but please stick with me! 😊
1) Our SOAR Sprint run may be over, but please encourage your student to continue fundraising this week! All donations must be turned in or made online by Friday, May 6th. As of today, we are just over halfway to our goal of $30,000. This fundraiser is SO important for our school as it will help provide funding to keep the library open next year, replace the broken marquee, fulfill teacher grant requests to enhance the classrooms and learning experiences, and so much more! We are asking each student to raise at least $60 to help us reach our goal. And, of course, the students are earning some awesome prizes along the way! Online donations can be made here: https://r4funds.com/schools/peakviewrun22/
2) This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! PTO is coordinating appreciation baskets for all of the teachers, and many of you have already stepped up to be the point of contact for some of those teachers and baskets. Let's come together and show Peakview teachers just how much we appreciate everything they do for our students! If you would like to contribute to a teacher's basket, here are the points of contact for each:
Erin Schuermann- Anast
Melissa Feeler- Waldron
Elizabeth Reyn- Naccarato
Erin Haislett- Cipriani
Kim Rutt- Smith and Stofac
Beth Slaboda- Herbers
Amie Nickel- GT
Heather Collier- all 4 AMPS
Michelle Laffea- SPED and Services team
If you're not sure how to connect with any of these points of contact, please email peakviewspto@gmail.com and we will assist.
3) Carnival is quickly approaching! On May 13th, from 5-8pm, come join us outside at Peakview Elementary for a fun community event with games, inflatables, music, and food trucks to celebrate Peakview's 30th anniversary. Flyers went home in Friday folders, but in case you missed it, here is the digital version with a link to purchase tickets in advance. Please note that all participants wishing to enjoy the inflatables will be required to sign a waiver ahead of time. If you would like to save time at the event, consider purchasing your tickets in advance online, filling out this waiver, and emailing it to peakviewspto@gmail.com
And, of course, we wouldn't be able to put on this event without volunteers. Please consider volunteering just a bit of your time to help this run smoothly. We can also accept middle and high schooler volunteers! Sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090C44A8A928ABFE3-2022
4) Our last Family Fun Night of the school year will be at Panera on May 17th from 4-8pm. More info to come!
5) PTO will meet for the last time this year on May 18th at 6pm. We hope you'll join us!
Take care,
