FR/ STADS LABO URBAINS #1: LE LOGEMENT A BRUXELLES

+ Visite du projet Calico (Care and Living in Community)

Dans le cadre du festival Knowledge for the City, nous lançons une nouvelle série de Stads Labos Urbains. Ici, nous allons examiner de plus près les thèmes que vous avez choisis (par le biais de notre enquête en ligne) ! Nous voulons confronter les connaissances académiques et de terrain dans un cadre informel. L'interaction et l'échange sont essentiels. 

Le premier thème qui est ressorti de l'enquête est celui du "logement". Parmi les autres thèmes qui ont obtenu un score élevé dans l'enquête figurent "une ville pour tous les âges", "le genre" et "les soins". C'est pourquoi nous avons choisi d'organiser cette session, consacrée au logement à Bruxelles, dans le projet de logement innovant Calico (Care and Living in Community) :

Calico se concentre sur les problèmes précis liés au logement urbain des femmes et des personnes âgées. C'est pourquoi ils ont, par exemple, une maison de naissance et une maison de décès. Calico est mis en œuvre selon les principes du Community Land Trust, une association qui achète des terrains ou des maisons à Bruxelles et les met à la disposition des résidents à faibles revenus. 

Calico est un habitat intergénérationnel, juste et socialement mixte. 


PROGRAMME

1. Presentation par Thomas Dawance (VUB) 

• Crise du logement à Bruxelles: Que pouvons nous faire ?
• Présentation du projet Calico (modèle CLT, création de coopératives, implication des agences immobilières sociales...)

2. Visite du projet Calico avec les porteurs du projet
Comment Calico fait-il face aux défis urbains (féminisme, "care", ...) ? 
Comment le "vivre ensemble" se passe-t-il dans ce projet de co-habitation ?

3. Discussion informelle avec le public : 

• Crise du logement à Bruxelles : quelles alternatives ? 
• Le projet Calico comme modèle de logement alternatif ?

NL/ STADS LABO URBAINS #1: WONEN IN BRUSSEL 

+ Bezoek aan het Calico woonproject
(Care and Living in Community)

In het kader van het Knowledge for the City Festival lanceren we een nieuwe reeks Stads Labos Urbains. Hier nemen we thema’s onder de loep die gekozen werden door jullie (via onze online bevraging)! We willen academische kennis en terreinkennis confronteren in een informele, laagdrempelige setting. Interactie en uitwisseling staan centraal. 

Het eerste thema dat uit de bevraging kwam is "Wonen". Andere thema’s die hoog scoorden in de bevraging waren oa. “stad voor alle leeftijden”, “gender” en “zorg”. Daarom hebben we gekozen om deze sessie, over wonen in Brussel, te laten doorgaan in het innoverende Calico-woonproject (Care and Living in Community):

Calico focust op specifieke stedelijke woonproblemen van vrouwen en ouderen. Er zijn daarom bvb. specifieke faciliteiten zoals een geboortehuis en een sterftehuis. Calico wordt ingevuld volgens de principes van Community Land Trust, een vereniging die in Brussel gronden of woningen koopt en beschikbaar stelt aan inwoners met een laag inkomen. 

Calico staat voor intergenerationeel, gelijk en sociaal gemengd leven. 

PROGRAMMA

• Wooncrisis in Brussel en wat kunnen we eraan doen?
• Introductie van het Calico project (CLT model, oprichting van coöperatieven, betrekken van sociale verhuurkantoren...)

2. Bezoek van het Calico woonproject met de projectdragers
Hoe gaat Calico om met stedelijke uitdagingen (feminisme, zorg, …)? 
Hoe gebeurt het “samen-leven” in dit co-housing project?

3. Informele discussie met het publiek: 

• Wooncrisis in Brussel: welke alternatieven? 
• Het Calico project als alternatief woonmodel?

EN/ STADS LABO URBAINS #1: HOUSING IN BRUSSELS

+ Visit of the Calico co-housing project
(Care and Living in Community)

As part of the Knowledge for the City Festival, we are launching a new series of Stads Labos Urbains. Here we will take a closer look at themes chosen by you (through our online survey)! We want to confront academic knowledge with knowledge from other urban actors and citizens in an informal, accessible setting. Interaction and exchange are central. 

The first theme that came out of the survey is "Housing". Other themes that scored high in the survey included  "city for all ages", "gender" and "care". That is why we have chosen to organise this session, about living in Brussels, in the innovative Calico housing project (Care and Living in Community):

Calico focuses on specific urban housing problems of women and the elderly. There are therefore, for example, specific facilities such as a birth house and a death house. Calico is implemented according to the principles of the Community Land Trust, an association that buys land or homes in Brussels and makes them available to low-income residents. 

Calico stands for intergenerational, equal and socially mixed living.

• Introductie of the Calico project (CLT model, creation of coöperatives, involving social housing agencies...)

2. Visit of the Calico housing project with the project managers

• How does "living together" happen in this co-housing project?

3. Informal discussion with the public 

• Housing crisis in Brussels: what alternatives? 
• The Calico project as an alternative housing model?
