We are pleased to announce details of our 2022 supplier events to give local businesses the chance to deliver our innovative, climate saving BECCS technology at our site in Selby, North Yorkshire.
 
Drax has an ambitious aim to source 80% of its BECCS construction supply chain from the UK. These supplier events will help achieve this and give businesses of all sizes the opportunity to win contracts totalling millions of pounds. In partnership with Worley and NOF, our latest events will be held on the 17th and 18th of May in the Humber and Teesside

This announcement comes as the IPCC releases its latest report on climate change which clearly states the need for carbon removals from technologies such as BECCS to meet global climate targets. It’s time to put words into action and begin scaling up these important technologies.
