Where UPdates are Sign-UPs

On Tuesdays you receive a "limited edition" of Silent Announcements.  Only what matters most goes in the Tuesday announcements. Today, it's all about signing up to help. For details on meetings for worship, children's programs, and "all the news," please check the Silent Announcements from the preceding Friday.

Memorial Meeting for Mosi on May 14

On May 14th at 2 pm, we will welcome Mosi Harrington's family and many friends, and greet each other in a Memorial Meeting to cherish the memories that Mosi has left for us. It will be a large event under a canopy behind the meeting house.  Weather is looking good at the moment. Hold a good thought.

We need your help to make it happen. Here is a sign-up sheet where you can indicate how you can take part. Many Friends have signed up (thank you!), but we need some more willing folks for clean up and greeting.  None of these tasks will keep you away from the meeting itself - we'll all be there for the main thing. Please sign up soon so the planning team (Jameson Goodman, Lynn Brown, and Ruth Flower) can stop stressing.

Also -- do you have flowers?? Would you want to bring some - arranged in your own vase?  There's a place on the sign up sheet to add flowers, if you wish to bring some.

Strawberry Festival on June 4

An even more hands-on event will occur just two weeks after the memorial meeting - the Strawberry Festival.  The organizers (Carole Hoage, Angelyn Flowers, and Martha Woods) need to know who's available to make the Strawberry Festival hum. The event will include a café, grill, baked goods, strawberries, music, jewelry, the train, children's games, and a modified white-elephant sale.  Please let the organizers know if (and when) you can volunteer.

As always, cleaning up after the festival is a major task -- think about coming and enjoying the festival (duty- free) and saving your energy for the all-important clean-up.  Just an option.  Here's a sign-up form to indicate the task you'd like to help with.  Don't forget to hit "submit" at the end of the form so the information will go straight to the organizers.

Adelphi's Spring Workday - May 21 from 10 - 4

And between the two big events, there's a time for us to get together as a community -- in jeans, straw hats and old shoes -- for Spring Workday! Celebrating Spring (of course) and our gradual transition back to meeting in person, means that there are some tasks that need our attention.  The House and Grounds Committee invites you especially to join in the raking, edging, pruning and weeding, and then to relax and enjoy the workday potluck, which is now returning! Bring something delicious to share.

No sign-ups -- just show-ups.  There will be many activities suitable for our younger Friends as well. From smalls to talls, there's something for you to do. We'll work from 10 - 4; come and go as your schedule permits.  Please contact Patrick Mulvey (Breeze) with questions.

That every creature and every created thing can be a window of revelation
into the divine nature is an invitation to fall more and more in love with the world.
To see that teachers of grace exist everywhere means to bring a sense of reverence to the way we walk in the world….
