Purpose

The DC Pride Volleyball League (DCPVL) NAGVA Championships Sponsorship program was established to support local DCPVL teams that wish to participate in the annual North American Gay Volleyball Association’s (NAGVA) Championships tournament over the Memorial Day weekend. 

Sponsorship Coverage

The Sponsorship program will provide financial support (in the form of team registration cost reimbursement, based on the availability of funds) for league players to attend the NAGVA Championships tournament. 

Who Can Apply

Any NAGVA-sanctioned team with a MINIMUM of four (4) registered DCPVL players on the team roster will be eligible to apply. A “registered DCPVL player” must meet the following criteria: 

• A player who is in good standing with the league; and
• Has played in the DCPVL Competitive League at least one of the seasons in the past NAGVA year (June 1, 2021, to May 31, 2022); and, 
• Has paid all DCPVL league dues.

Timeline

• May 27-29, 2022: NAGVA Championships XXXVIII in Las Vegas, NV
• By June 15, 2022: Team submits proof of team participation at NAGVA Championships, as well as proof of payment.
• By June 21, 2022: DCPVL review committee provides written notification of the receipt of all related post-Championships documentation.
• By July 1, 2022: DCPVL review committee provides a final written notification to teams receiving sponsorship/reimbursement, and payments will be processed
