The God Who Meets Our Needs

Dear Friends,
Difficult times make for new challenges, and yet, time and again, we have seen the Lord's ample provision in everything!

With heavy hearts, we are saying goodbye to the Kalena family who will relocate back to the USA after seven years of service in Berlin. They will be dearly missed, but we know that God is faithfully raising up more leaders. On June 19, we will celebrate the appointment of three new elders: Jonathan (second from the left), Thomas (second from the right) and Florian (far right).

With Nick Kalena leaving for the USA, he is leaving his position as the director of our counseling program. In preparation of following in his footsteps, Sam Jeanrichard will spend three years in Lafayette, IN, to receive further training in counseling and pastoral ministry. Meanwhile, Christian will be the interim head of the counseling department, until Sam returns.
Jeff Miller, who arrived in Germany last year, is immersed in language studies and gradually assuming more and more responsibility over the M.Div. program.

By far the greatest need we have encountered recently has been that of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. In response to this crisis, the EBTC has been organising regular transports to Ukraine, providing 35 tons of aid per week (such as food, generators and medical supplies) as well as Bibles, books and gospel tracts. Again, God has graciously provided all the hands we need – hands to pray, hands to give and hands to help (we have even had a few Americans come to Berlin to help with coordinating these transports!).
How precious and amazing to see the body of Christ working in collaboration to provide for the members in need – all for the glory of its Head!
In order to continue this ministry, we currently need $ 5,000 worth of aid every day. If you would like to partner with us, you can follow our updates here or click here to support us. Thank you for prayerfully considering how you can be involved in this dire need.

The pieces are slowly coming together for us in TRK. We have many open doors and the Lord is growing our network of precious believers. We are in the process of putting together seminar material – focusing on the biblical history of the country – for the locals and other ethnic groups that have easy access to the city.
On May 11, we are hosting a group of 28 TMS students with Dr. Brad Klassen.

While our time in the USA at the Shepherds' Conference in March was filled with various TMAI/GMI meetings, we also very much enjoyed seeing the precious faces of our USA based children and the grandchildren there – Katrina & Marco and Philip & Heather.
Christian has also been on trips to Czech Republic, the UK and Italy. Upcoming trips are to Finland and a church plant in Denmark.

Sheryl and I have just moved in with my 85-year-old mother next door, whereas Stephanie and Daniel have moved into what was our side of the house for the past 20 years. So, with four generations now living under one roof, life has become a lot more vibrant as the kids explore and we all get settled in. We are all very thankful!

Please be praying for:
- Sheryl and myself as we visit the different missionaries on the fields.
- our upcoming trips to Finland, Istanbul and perhaps Italy
- the EBTC Shepherds' Conference. Out theme is The Church's Commission during the End Times, May 26-28
- the upcoming EBTC school year, starting in late August. Please pray for endurance for our staff and for the students
- Thank you for praying for our family time in Finland in June
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and your on-going partnership in the ministry!
With love,
Christian & Sheryl Andresen
