Celebrating Award-Winning Circle of Care Volunteers

During this year's National Volunteer Week, two of our volunteers were given an award for all of their hard work and contributions. Thank you to all volunteers for your continued dedication and passion, and congratulations to the following winners!
Anna Wotten, 2022 June Callwood Circle of Outstanding Volunteers Award of Distinction

Circle of Care is delighted to have had the opportunity to put forward Anna Wootten’s name for the 2022 June Callwood Circle of Outstanding Volunteers Award of Distinction in recognition of her contribution to our hospice and bereavement programs.

Anna received her award during the HPCO Conference awards luncheon on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

Anna’s sensitivity and compassion make her an ideal hospice volunteer. After completing the HPCO 30-hour training course, Anna provided companionship to clients and respite for the caregivers of several client families. Anna assists with our monthly Caring Cafe group and provides support to new volunteers. Through our connection to Bridgepoint Active Health, Anna also trained as a volunteer on their palliative care unit and provided support to their patients. It is a pleasure to have Anna as part of our volunteer team.
Cyril Braude, City of Vaughan Volunteer Recognition Award

Congratulations to Cyril Braude on receiving the City of Vaughan Volunteer Recognition Award on April 27, 2022.

Cyril has been a dedicated volunteer with our Meals on Wheels program since 2015. He is currently delivering twice a week from Baycrest and Sepha Catering.

Cyril gives his time without hesitation, whenever we are short of volunteers we can count on Cyril to step up and lend a hand. Our Meals on Wheels team truly appreciates Cyril’s support!
