Women’s MTB Weekend

July 22nd-24th at the Trailhouse

Led by an amazing crew of female mountain bike coaches with a flair for fierce & fun inspiration, this camp will focus on strengthening fundamentals, improving skills, boosting confidence, and having fun. This camp is an opportunity for riders to hone technical skills in a welcoming and supportive group atmosphere. The schedule will feature a mix of technical instruction (skills drills) and sessions on the progressive terrain at Slate Valley Trails.

Enjoy two full days of coaching and riding led by expert coach and professional mountain biker Ali Zimmer and her team of rad coaches.

Level: This camp is perfect for beginner through intermediate advanced looking to enhance XC/ Enduro riding skills and empowerment.

The retreat is based out of the Trailhouse, located at a stunning end-of-the-road location in the heart of the Valley. This curated experience is sure to both energize and relax you!

What’s Included?

  • Coaching: Expert coaches with a 1:6 coach to participant ratio.

  • Camping: The Slate Valley Trailhouse is located at the end of a quiet road right on the Slate Valley Trails network. We offer hot showers, clean porta-potties, WiFi, a phone charging station, bike wash and plenty of sweet spots to set up a tent or park a camper van.

  • All meals and snacks: Local, farm-fresh, whole-food menu.

    • Friday dinner and campfire bevys

    • Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner plus campfire bevys

    • Sunday breakfast and lunch

    • Plenty of ride snacks

  • Optional Enrichment: Local bike mechanic Candice Passehl will join us for a women’s wrenching clinic, and Ali, who is also a physical therapist, will lead some movement and strengthening sessions and offer a nutrition talk.

Friday, July 22nd

  • 3:00pm - 6:00pm – Arrive, check-in, set up camp. Optional DIY ride.

  • 6:30pm – Dinner

  • 7:30pm – Campfire & happy hour

Saturday, July 23rd

  • 6:30am - 7:30am – Coffee Hour

  • 7:30am - Ride & shine morning wake up

  • 8:00 – 8:30am – Breakfast and min-nutrition talk

  • 8:30am – 12:00pm Clinic time (core skills including body position, braking, track stands, cornering, descending, and optional jumps/drops)

  • 12:00 - 12:30pm – Lunch

  • 12:30-5:00pm – Clinic – on trail

  • 5:00pm – 6:00pm – Free time, optional mechanic workshop

  • 6:00 - 7:00pm - Dinner

  • 7:30pm – Campfire & happy hour

Sunday, July 24th

  • 6:30 - 7:30am - Coffee hour

  • 7:30am - Ride & shine morning wake up -movement

  • 8:00 – 8:30am – Breakfast and get ready to ride

  • 8:30am – 12:00pm - Clinic time & riding

  • 12:00 – 1:00pm – Lunch on the trail

  • 1:00pm – 3:00pm - Small Group ride, pictures & laughs

  • 3:00pm - Pack up

Recommended Equipment:

  • Hardtail or full suspension mountain bike with flat pedals

  • Good-fitting helmet (required)

  • Hydration pack or cage-mounted water bottles
