New Painting Class, "Canvas, Cocktails, and Cookies: To the Depths of the Universe," Offered at North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum
BISMARCK, N.D. – "Canvas, Cocktails, and Cookies: To the Depths of the Universe" is coming to the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum on Tuesday, May 10, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Join Kim Eslinger, working artist, instructor, and gallery and exhibits director for North Dakota’s Gateway to Science, for an evening of hands-on painting inspired by NASA's recent launch of the James Webb Space Telescope. The event will include a cash bar, and space-themed cookies will be available.
Participants can be a part of a casual class while creating a work of art to take home. Easels, canvases, paints, and brushes will be provided during the program. This program is supported in part by a grant from the North Dakota Council on the Arts, which receives funding from the state legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts. Tickets are $20, and seats are limited. Register at shsnd.eventbrite.com.
The next in the series of "Canvas, Cocktails, and Cookies" is inspired by the "Fashion & Function: North Dakota Style" exhibit at the ND Heritage Center & State Museum. “Canvas, Cocktails, Cookies, and Clothing” is set for June 28. Register at shsnd.eventbrite.com.
