What role for distributed ledger technologies (DLTs) and blockchain-based solutions in postal logistics and postal financial services?
Today, at 2 pm CEST, the Universal Postal Union will launch its new innovation-focused study "Blockchains for a sustainable postal future".The online launch event will discuss the main findings of the study and raise awareness of the potential use of DLTs and blockchain in two key domain areas – postal logistics and postal financial inclusion – by:
showcasing prior experiences of Postal DLT solutions,
examining potential use cases of DLTs for Posts, and
proposing recommendations for national policymakers and stakeholders on how best to use this technology for the benefit of the postal sector at large.
