22 Years ago today...

22 years ago today we introduced dynamic internet bidding at StampAuctionNetwork and changed the name from StampAuctionCentral. We  had been around since 1994, but at first we published on line catalogs with the ability to submit bids by email. On April 27th, 2000 we created the first Marketplace for Stamp Auctions with interactive bidding.

As a way of recognizing this day, and to thank all those that have made this community important to stamp auctions, we would like to recognize those first members who became part of this digital transformation.  I looked in the database for the first 20 signups and after polling those that still responded to their email, and were willing, came up with 17 names.

Lou Campanara
Andrew F Farberov
Timothy Kohler
Craig Eggleston
Anthony Fimiani
Elliot Omiya
Geoff Dutton
Joe Picard
Sid Morginstin
Tor Bjork, Paradise Valley Stamp Company
Joseph E. Hodnik
Dave Ruch
Mike Ellingson
Richard LeVasseur
Herbert R. Volin
Ronald Majors

These all came in minutes from one another, so the order of the list is immaterial though I do provide them in order of registration. I missed the 20th anniversary of this date, but consider this announcement thanks to the over 30,000 members who have joined our community over the years.

Sincerely, Tom Droege, StampAuctionNetwork
