Friends —

Spring has sprung! Take some time to enjoy the weather, and then stop by the State and Bijou to see some great films!

At the State Theatre: Cryrano
Friday and Saturday at 1pm, 4pm and 7pm
Sunday at 1pm and 4pm

Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones) shines as the title character in this delightful new musical from director Joe Wright (Pride and Prejudice). Wright brings a fresh new spin to the classic tale of an eloquent outcast who writes love letters for his handsome but inarticulate friend. Described by Vanity Fair as “Stunning” this film will tug at your heartstrings and is an entertaining new step for both Wright and Dinklage. A perfect romantic musical for spring.

At The Bijou: Everything Everywhere All At Once
Friday and Saturday at 2pm and 6pm
Sunday at 2pm

This mind-bending science fiction film brings together absurdism, nihilism, and parenthood in a way only a great movie like this could do. Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Crazy Rich Asians) plays Evelyn Wang, a down on her luck laundromat worker who’s struggling to understand her teenage daughter, her husband, and how her life ended up just this bad. Everything changes when she discovers her parallel universe lives and the inter-dimensional threat that is coming for all of them. A film that defies convention, and really must be seen to be believed!
