New Development in Toledo
Some more exciting developments are happening in Toledo!
This week I was able to join the Lucas County Land Bank, the Lucas County Commissioners, Representative Hicks-Hudson, ConnecToledo, Director of Ohio Department of Development Lydia Mahalik, and Governor DeWine’s office to announce a huge investment in Downtown Toledo. The historic Spitzer Building will receive a $1 million grant. The dollars will allow for the removal of lead paint, asbestos abatement and internal demolition necessary to further position the building for redevelopment. This corner in Downtown Toledo is vital to the continued revitalization of the entire region. We thank the City’s partners on this project and look forward to what is to come for this building.
In addition, I was able to attend an exciting and informative presentation from our friends at Metroparks Toledo on the positive developments on the Glass City Riverwalk. We are so proud to be a partner of the Metroparks Toledo and will continue to work with them to see this successful project through to completion. The engaged crowd who attended the event at Imagination Station was very pleased to see all the waterfront will have to offer.
Have a great week, Toledo!
