From the Principal's Desk

It has been really good for us to be able to have some functions at school that have allowed for more socialising amongst our learners.  The MSA Iftar evening was a great success and the Ignition Quiz evening was enjoyed by all who attended.

The sports teams are back in full force and there is much enthusiasm as they are trained by our excellent coaches.  Over the weekend it was rather exciting to see our Netball team televised live on SuperSport.  For those who missed the action please take a look at the following link.

We are also eagerly anticipating our Dinner Dance arranged for the evening of 20 May 2022.  Put on your dancing shoes, grab a partner and a ticket and come along to support the hostel in its fundraising efforts.  There is a three-course meal, a lucky draw, a raffle, soft drinks included and a corkage fee should you wish to bring your choice of drink.  Book your ticket with Mrs Roberts via Whatsapp (083 876 6729) and payment can be made by EFT to (ERINVILLE HOSTEL, Acc 071403647, Reference: Surname DANCE).  Thank you to the parents of Erinville who are running this event.

Notices

Matric Farewell

A reminder to all Grade 12 parents to please purchase the Matric Farewell tickets via Karri or EFT. The payment deadline is 15 May 2022.

First Aid Appeal

Following our appeals in March, we would like to thank the families of Genna van der Walt for the icepacks we received and Isabella Webber for the wheelchair which has already proved very useful.

We are still hoping for a donation of crutches – one kind mom has offered a pair but she is currently using them herself.  If there is any other family out there with crutches they would be willing to give to the school’s First Aid team, they would be received with joy.  Please email westonj@rghs.org.za if you are able to help us. Our First Aiders are a source of help and comfort in all sorts of situations and access to the right equipment would make all the difference.
