Hello <<First Name>>,

Only 3 more days until our
Virtual Trivia Night and the start of our Silent Auction—we hope you can join us for a night of friendly competition and philanthropy!

Our founder has pledged to match $5,000 in ticket sales and donations through the end of May in honor of Mental Health Awareness month. We’ve already matched $790! Everyone who purchases a ticket, makes a donation, or bids at our silent auction will also be entered into a drawing to win one of five $50 gift certificates generously donated by Picaboo (photo books & gifts).

Proceeds will fund our proactive mental health interventions in schools serving low-income communities. Since 2015, we have helped 200 students build resilience skills and academic engagement through small group instruction. Now, we’ve trained teachers to deliver our curriculum to their entire class. Our new program is going well in our first partner school and we will be rolling it out to an additional 300+ students this fall! You can read an update from the teacher below.

We hope you can join us for one or both events, <<First Name>>! Together, we can help children build the resilience they need to weather life’s storms.

Program Update!

We have finished with the first three lessons on resilience and being proactive. Overall, they went really well. The lessons have been extremely easy to implement from a teacher’s perspective. The layout and the timing of everything is pretty spot on. The videos seem to do a good job simplifying the topics in a way that make them easy to understand without seeming like they were designed for 'babies' as some students tend to feel. The length of the videos strike a good balance between summarizing the content without being overly dense or too long where students lose focus and engagement. Within the lessons, I have found a lot of flexibility to allow students to drive the conversations in a direction that gets them excited. The breathing/relaxation exercises at the end of each lesson have helped to reset students and serves as a good transition.” - Kyle Miller, 5th Grade Teacher at Washington Jesuit Academy
