Dear Parents of K5-2nd grade Students, 
尊敬的K5 -2年级学生家长：
Again, it is the time of year to test our students using the MAP (Measure of Academic Progress). This test occurs in the Fall, Winter, and then Spring. The goal of the MAP is to check the progress the students have made throughout the year and see how prepared they are for the next grade level. In the chart below, I have listed the target score for each subject and grade level. The goal is for students to score the same or higher than each of their grade level targets.
又到一年中使用MAP（学业进展测评）来测试学生的时候了。这项测试通常在秋冬及次年春季进行。MAP测评的目的是检查学生在整年学习中所取得的进步，查验他们为升入下一年级打下的基础如何。我在下列表格中列出了各年级每个科目的目标分数。目的是让学生的分数达到或高于每个年级的目标。

The MAP test schedule for the K5-2nd grade is May 3-6th. The 3rd-5th grade MAP test will be from May 9th-13th.
K5 -2年级MAP考试定于5月3 - 6日举行， 3-5年级MAP考试则定于5月9-13日举行。

Please ensure that your child has enough sleep each night, has eaten a healthy breakfast, and comes to school on time for the test. We thank you for your extra support during this MAP test, and we look forward to sharing how your child has grown in his/her knowledge over this last semester.

Dear Elementary Families, 尊敬的小学部家庭：
We are so thankful for your support and involvement at KIA this year. Next week, May 3rd -6th, is Teacher Appreciation Week. Without our amazing staff, we would not be able to offer you the wonderful program that we have. As we take time to celebrate them on campus next week, we wanted to give you and your student an opportunity to encourage them as well. In the Friday folder is a printed worksheet called "My Teacher Means the World to Me". Please take a moment to fill this out with your child and return it to a teacher or teaching assistant of their choice. You are welcome to print more off if there are more staff you would like to encourage.
