Happy Beltane Weekend!!

Another month is wrapping up and May Eve is here! The flowers are blooming and the days are growing warmer. It's the time of the outward spiral, the turn toward community and the company of like minds and hearts. Remember to leave out an offering to the Good Folk this weekend.  For beauty and luck, bathe your face in the morning dew.  And if you're interested in celebrating warm spring season with like-minded folks, please join us for one of our upcoming gatherings!

An up-to-date listing of events is always available at www.wyomingvalleycuups.com, our Google Calendar as well as on the Events section of our Facebook page

Hope to see you soon!
The Wyoming Valley Crows
Tomorrow at 4:30PM at UUCWV
In this video, I’m going to talk about what to bring, what to expect but most importantly I’m going to teach you the chants that we will be using. Each of these can also be found on our websites Chant Library. Also pardon Shannons head bobbing in the video
Beltane is the first of the Fire Festivals. In Ireland in the old days, the hearth fires would all be put out and then relit from the central fire of Ireland. The torches bearing flame from the central fire carried both the practical benefits of fire for warmth, cooking and forging and the spiritual ones: transformation, strength, the spark of life. We will share a Beltane celebration including a Maypole Dance.

Please feel free to bring hand percussion if you would like to play drums during the dance or afterward.

Arrive between 4:30-4:45pm
Ritual will start at 4:45PM

After ritual, we will gather for the Potluck after the ritual. Please either keep ingredient list or label all offerings with the included ingredients to allow those with dietary restrictions to make healthy choices for themselves.
We will have an open Witchy give and take table again at our Beltane Ritual and Full Moon Labyrinth Walk.

Have an item you’ve want to donate or rehome? Something that is sitting and collecting dust or something you no longer have a need for? Cards? Books? Bring it to the table.

See something shiny on the table calling your name? Go for it!

It will be a free form table that you can bring and/or receive from. Any item donated that isn’t adopted will be brought out at our future Lunar and Solar gatherings.
Join Wyoming Valley CUUPS for our online Beltane ritual via Zoom! This year's Zoom Beltane ritual will focus on rekindling our own sacred flame within.

To participate, you will need to be in a space where you can turn off any lights.

Also, please have ready
~a candle, candleholder and matches/lighter nearby
~ An oil or perfume you would like to use to anoint yourself

Welcome to Introduction to Numerology! Numerology is mysterious, both simple and complicated, but very esoteric...

This class delves into the mysteries of numbers and their relationships to us, our lives, our spirituality, and the universe. Numbers represent concepts universal to the grand scheme of the universe and everything, and through their study we can unlock some of the secrets of our lives, and our place in the universe.

Part One of this series covered basics such as the meaning of the numbers, power numbers, and basic divinatory techniques that we use.
Part Two and Part Three will delve into more advanced knowledge and more divinations methods.

The only materials needed may be a pencil and paper to work out some basic number schemes.

OUR ONLINE RITUALS:
Many of us started out as solitary practitioners on our Pagan and Witch paths. To those of us introverts, it can be quite a leap to seek out other like-minded groups. Online rituals can offer the best of both worlds to those who are more comfortable casting alone. You can turn off a video feed if you are more comfortable, set up your space and connect while being led in ritual simultaneously.
Join us for Magick and connection in our online Full Moon ritual!

For this ritual we recommend:
  1. a candle/flame
  2. paper
  3. pencil/pen/art supplies if that’s your thing
  4. Divination tool of choice.
Just recommended but not needed by any means.

"The Full Moon means many things in Pagan Practices. Abundance, spirituality, peak psychic ability, fertility, a good time for Magick, The Mystery. Something about that silvery light sets the subconscious to dreaming. Things are possible by moonlight that are not in the revealing light of day. We can be more truly ourselves, casting off some of the masks we layer on in order to fit in during our daytime lives. Our truths are easier to manage in moonlight. We’re more willing to step into Mystery, to allow dreams, and to listen to what our inner voice has to say."

Come enjoy the beauty and peace of the Labyrinth by the light of the Full moon!

The labyrinth will be illuminated from 8:30pm-10pm.

During the warmer months, we take our Labyrinth practice outdoors. We are in the process of constructing a permanent Labyrinth. Gods, weather and planning permit, we will be outside for this one. Otherwise we will walk the canvas Labyrinth in the Sanctuary.

The first half hour will be a quiet walk, the remaining drumming, so feel free to bring hand drums and other percussion instruments of choice.
If you haven't walked a Labyrinth before, there is no ceremony or ritual. A Labyrinth Walk is safe, open Sacred Space for personal exploration. Please plan to arrive by 8:30pm to allow enough time for your walk.
We also have WVCUUPS officer Emily doing Tarot and Oracle card readings.

Answering the Calls is a series of 7 classes and discussions in Earth-Centered Spiritual Practices developed by Emily Haberkern and Shannon Saylor.
This informal training is focused specifically on Empowered Witchcraft while providing a grounding in some of the basics. No previous experience in Witchcraft is needed. The intention behind the series is building a spiritual practice that aligns with you and your spiritual needs in the context of Paganism & Witchcraft.

Our Fourth Call is the Call of Connection.
Deep within us - no matter who we are - there lives a feeling of wanting to be loveable, of wanting to be the kind of person that others like to be with. And the greatest thing we can do is to let people know that they are loved and capable of loving” - Fred Rogers.

Building community and connection is made possible through opening up to all the possibilities that love brings, letting love lead, and learning how to strike the chords of love both within yourself and towards the world.

Join members of the Wyoming Valley CUUPS community for an informal hangout and check-in.

The Witching Hour is a social time. Everyone should have their favorite beverage at the ready. There are no rules about this beverage. ALL beverages are equally welcome.

This event does not have a structure per se. You are invited to attend as your true self, in the company of other Pagans. You may wear a hat, or not. You may paint your face, or not. Do you have a new tattoo? You can show us if you'd like! Did you just get a new item for your altar that is the absolute BEST THING YOU'VE EVER SEEN? Why yes, we would love to see that. Depending on the number of attendees, breakout rooms may be employed. See you there!

Join us at Wyoming Valley CUUPS both Online and In-Person as we honor our Veterans and Warriors

Throughout human history, a small number of brave souls have chosen the path of the Warrior. These rare people choose to serve their communities through sacrifice. They give up years of their lives, relationships, career opportunities, and a certain innocence that can never be regained once lost. And they offer to sacrifice something else – their very bodies and lives. These are people willing to serve. Warriors offer to give up their one wild, precious life to serve their people. They return to us changed, injured or sometimes not at all.
We will gather to honor the Warriors, to hold them high and to formally give thanks for the gift they offer our people.

Join us for community, spirituality and connection at our Sunday Service online via Zoom!
If you're searching for a religious home that is guided by a quest for truth and meaning, not by a set creed or dogma, we invite you to discover Unitarian Universalism. We are a caring, open-minded religious community that encourages you to seek your own spiritual path.
Our worship services begin at 10:30 on Sunday morning and combine a mixture of music, speaking, and silence. The topics for our services vary greatly from week to week, so we encourage you to attend more than one service. We also have coffee hour after each service.
