In the first national protest in the US against the war on all sides, the Revolution Clubs will lead marches and rallies in LA and NY.
Noche Diaz, National Spokesperson for the Revolution Clubs, said: “The US/NATO proxy war with Russia in Ukraine is between rival and contending imperialists that could lead to direct confrontation, and potentially even nuclear war. The people in the US – and around the world – must rise up to demand that this war in Ukraine, and the direct and indirect involvement of the imperialists on both sides in this war, be STOPPED. If this continues, it will not only cause even greater suffering for the people of Ukraine but possibly escalate into a far more terrible conflict which causes massive destruction and death and even possibly the extinction of humanity itself.”
The March in LA will be in Spanish and English, going through MacArthur Park, where migrants fleeing US invasions and war crimes in Central America are concentrated. The March in NY will go through the streets of Harlem, stopping at a military recruiting station where Carl Dix will speak. Dix is a revolutionary leader who spent two years in federal prison for refusing orders to fight in Vietnam.
“On revolutionary May Day, people need to rise up to declare 'We refuse to accept their future!'” Diaz continued, “This system, with its white supremacist police terror, its attacks on abortion and LGBT people, the refugees criminalized at the border and fascist threats, needs to be overthrown. The revcoms are getting organized for an actual revolution and invite everyone who wants to see a better world to join us.”
