All Saints welcomes all people, without exception. We know that Christ is present in each person here, and we celebrate the diversity of the body of Christ. If this is your first visit, please introduce yourself today, and please visit again sometime. If you’ve been away, welcome back. We worship in the Anglican tradition, and are a parish in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts. We honor individuals of every age, gender, ethnic heritage, sexual orientation, and religious background. We respect the dignity of every human being.

Land Acknowledgement
For thousands of years, First Nations people walked on this land in Danvers; their relationship with the land is at the center of their lives and spirituality. All Saints is gathered on the traditional territory of the Naumkeag, and we give thanks to them, and acknowledge their stewardship of this land throughout the ages. They followed the seasons, hunted, fished, raised families, grieved for their dead, nourished their living, shared the stories of their ancestors, and considered themselves the caretakers of this place.

Collect for Purity
Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all desires known, and from you no secrets are hid: Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the inspiration of your Holy Spirit; that we may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy Name; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Gloria S278

Opening Collect
God be with you
And also with you.

O God, whose blessed Son made himself known to his disciples in the breaking of bread: Open the eyes of our faith, that we may behold him in all his redeeming work; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

A Reading from the Greek Testament                                                     Bernadette Benman
Acts 9:1-6
Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked him for letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so that if he found any who belonged to the Way, men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem. Now as he was going along and approaching Damascus, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" He asked, "Who are you, Lord?" The reply came, "I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. But get up and enter the city, and you will be told what you are to do."

Hear what the Spirit is saying to Gods people. Thanks be to God.

Pause to reflect on reading.

Psalm 30 (please read together the bolded lines)

I will exalt you, O Lord,
because you have lifted me up
and have not let my enemies triumph over me.

O Lord my God, I cried out to you,
and you restored me to health.

You brought me up, O Lord, from the dead;
you restored my life as I was going down to the grave.

Sing to the Lord, you servants of his;
give thanks for the remembrance of his holiness.

For his wrath endures but the twinkling of an eye,
his favor for a lifetime.

Weeping may spend the night,
but joy comes in the morning.

While I felt secure, I said,
"I shall never be disturbed.
You, Lord, with your favor, made me as strong as the mountains."

Then you hid your face,
and I was filled with fear.

I cried to you, O Lord;
I pleaded with the Lord, saying,

"What profit is there in my blood, if I go down to the Pit?
will the dust praise you or declare your faithfulness?

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me;
O Lord, be my helper."

You have turned my wailing into dancing;
you have put off my sack-cloth and clothed me with joy.

Therefore my heart sings to you without ceasing;
O Lord my God, I will give you thanks for ever.

A Reading from the Greek Testament                                                          Linda Marsh
Revelation 5:11-14
I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels surrounding the throne and the living creatures and the elders; they numbered myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, singing with full voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slaughtered to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might and honor and glory and blessing!" Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, singing, "To the one seated on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!" And the four living creatures said, "Amen!" And the elders fell down and worshiped.

Hear what the Spirit is saying to Gods people. Thanks be to God.

The Gospel                                                                                                        John 21:1-14

The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, according to John.
Glory to you, Lord Christ.

Jesus showed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias; and he showed himself in this way. Gathered there together were Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples. Simon Peter said to them, "I am going fishing." They said to him, "We will go with you." They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach; but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, "Children, you have no fish, have you?" They answered him, "No." He said to them, "Cast the net to the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in because there were so many fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It is the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on some clothes, for he was naked, and jumped into the sea. But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, only about a hundred yards off. When they had gone ashore, they saw a charcoal fire there, with fish on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish that you have just caught." So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, a hundred fifty-three of them; and though there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, "Come and have breakfast." Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?" because they knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and did the same with the fish. This was now the third time that Jesus appeared to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

The Gospel of the Lord. Praise to you, Lord Christ.

Homily                                                                                        The Rev. Marya DeCarlen

The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made human. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Prayers of the People                                                                                       Ginna Coulson
O God, with faces touched by the light of a new day, and hearts warmed by our prayers and praises, we come before you to pray for the needs of our world.

Into the light of Easter season, we offer prayers for our Presiding Bishop, Michael Curry, and for all bishops, priests, seminarians and deacons, including Alan, Gayle, Marya, Brett and Jim. In our Diocesan cycle of prayer, we pray for the Parishes of the Concord River Deanery: St. Anne’s-in-the-Fields Church, Lincoln; St. Paul’s Church, Natick; Trinity Chapel, Shirley; St. Mark’s Church, Southborough; and in Congregations: Acolytes. In our Anglican cycle of prayer, we pray for The Episcopal Church in the Philippines.
May the light of Christ shine upon them.

Into the light of Easter season, we raise those who are struggling with illness, with despair over their lives, or with the breakdown of relationships. Give to the sick your healing, and to the suffering your hope, especially Joe Maher, Jennifer and Greg Hanson, Paula and Sam Noyes, Sean Grogan, Ginny Johnson, Bruce Murden, Mary Ellen Murphy, Nishta, Andrew B., Cathy Doyle, Dean Carter, Mary Carney, Mark and Barbara Winkler, Rebecca Hill Larsen, Don McAllister, Judy Donovan, Jody Saulnieux, Priscilla Quealy, Dean Carter and Ina Jean Wagner. Are there others? May your steadfast love support all who call upon you.
May the light of Christ shine upon them.

Into the light of Easter season, we bring those places in our world where war, violence, poverty and need are the experiences of everyday life. Today we especially pray for Ukraine. We also hold in our hearts the pain of those suffering violence, bereavement or conflict. We pray for those experiencing distress and hopelessness in war-torn countries. May the light of Christ shine upon them.
May the light of Christ shine upon them.

Into the light of Easter season, we bring our thanksgivings for those celebrating birthdays, especially William Sabean, Jane Maihos, Cindy Taplin and Jean McPherson. Are there others for whom you would like to offer thanksgivings? May the light of Christ shine upon us.
May the light of Christ shine upon us.

Into the light of Easter season, we pray for all who come to the “halls” of All Saints seeking healing from addiction. Look with compassion on all who have lost their health and freedom. Restore the assurance of your unending love and unfailing mercy; remove the fears that disable; strengthen the work of recovery; and to those who care for those suffering from addiction, give patient understanding and persevering love. Lord: May the light of Christ shine upon us.
May the light of Christ shine upon us.

Into the light of Easter season, we pray for all who have died in the communion of your Church, especially Jennifer, beloved sister of Kathy Johnson, who died last week, and those whose faith is known to you alone, that, with all the saints, they may have rest in that place where there is no pain or grief, but life eternal, we pray to you, O Lord. Are there others whom you would like to add? May the light of Christ shine upon us.
May the light of Christ shine upon us.

And into the light of Easter season, we bring ourselves, the private struggles, the heart’s yearnings, the hidden dreams, the unfulfilled potential. May the light of Christ shine upon us.
May the light of Christ shine upon us. AMEN

Confession
God of Forgiveness, hear now the confession of our sins. Our greed and our lust for power create enemies where we should find friends. We fail to offer comfort and aid to those who are afraid and beaten down by the burdens of life. We are as blind and willful as Saul to the pain and the destruction of our wrongdoings and our well-meaning crusades. Forgive us, merciful One. Give us sight to see with your eyes, that we may bring hope and peace to our world. Amen.——from Ministry Matters Website

Absolution
Almighty God have mercy on you, forgive you all your sins, through our Lord Jesus Christ, strengthen you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in eternal life. Amen.

Offertory Sentences
Almighty God, giver of every good and perfect gift, teach us to give to you all that we have and all that we are. Put together as one congregation in three locations, bless our gifts!

The offertory plate is now brought forward.

 Eucharistic Prayer and Agape Meal Prayer
(Agape is the Greek word for love, and it was a love feast of the early Christians. This meal is another way of living out Jesuscommandment to love one another. We give thanks for the invitation to be at our tables, for here we are shown our lives.)

The Lord be with you.
And also with you.

Lift up your hearts.
We lift them to the Lord.

Let us give thanks to God,
It is right to give God thanks and praise.

God of all power, Ruler of the Universe, you are worthy of glory and praise.
Glory to you for ever and ever.

At your command all things came to be: the vast expanse of interstellar space, galaxies, suns, the planets in their courses, and this fragile earth, our island home.
By your will they were created and have their being.

From the primal elements you brought forth the human race, and blessed us with memory, reason, and skill. You made us the rulers of creation. But we turned against you, and betrayed your trust; and we turned against one another.
Have mercy, Lord, for we are sinners in your sight.

Again and again, you called us to return. Through prophets and sages you revealed your righteous Law. And in the fullness of time you sent your only Son, born of a woman, to fulfill your law, to open for us the way of freedom and peace.
By his blood, he reconciled us.
By his wounds, we are healed.

And therefore we praise you, joining with the heavenly chorus, with prophets, apostles, and martyrs, and with all those in every generation who have looked to you in hope, to proclaim with them your glory, in their unending hymn:

Sanctus

We have all come to this place as a church searching to find the way forward; we look for healing through these restorative rituals of old: agape and Eucharist. It is in the Agape Feast and Eucharist, where adversaries become friends, and friends become neighbors. Approach this love feast and Eucharist as an experience of warmth and sharing, where Gods grace can be experienced in the fellowship with one another and with God, as we remember Christs presence on earth and celebrate the spirit of Gods love.

We who have been redeemed by him, and made a new people by water and the Spirit, now bring before you these gifts. Sanctify them by your Holy Spirit to be the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ our Lord.

On the night he was betrayed, he took bread, said the blessing, broke the bread, gave it to his friends, and said, "Take, eat: This is my Body, which is given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me." After supper, he took the cup of wine, gave thanks, and said, "Drink this, all of you: This is my Blood of the new Covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins. Whenever you drink it, do this for the remembrance of me." He stretched out his arms upon the cross, and offered himself, in obedience to your will, a perfect sacrifice for the whole world.

Remembering now his work of redemption, and offering to you this sacrifice of thanksgiving,

Lord God of our Forbearers: God of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah, and Jacob, Rachel and Leah; God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ: Open our eyes to see your hand at work in the world about us. Deliver us from the presumption of coming to this table for solace only, and not for strength; for pardon only, and not for renewal. Let the grace of this Holy Communion make us one body, one spirit in Christ, that we may worthily serve the world in his name.

Risen Lord, be known to us in the breaking of the Bread.

Accept these prayers and praises through Jesus Christ our great High Priest, to whom, with you and the
Holy Spirit, your Church gives honor, glory, and worship, from generation to generation.

And now, as our Savior Christ has taught us, we are bold to say,

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy Name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those
who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory,
for ever and ever. Amen.

Fraction Anthem S155

Alleluia! Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us;
Therefore let us keep the feast. Alleluia!

This is the table not of the church, but of the Lord. It is to be made ready for those who love God and want to love God more. So come if you have followed, come if you have stumbled, come if you have been here often, or if you have never been here before. Come because it is God who invites you. It is one of Gods purposes, that those who want to find God, will find God here.—Adapted from the Iona Community.

(Now each person is invited to take a portion of food and drink, joining with the entire congregation on three platforms in our love feast.)

Lord, You Have Come to the Lakeshore                                                             Cesaro Gabarain

Prayer of Thanksgiving
Let us pray: Eternal God, you have graciously accepted us as living members of your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, and you have fed us with spiritual food in the Sacrament of his Body and Blood. Send us now into the world in peace, and grant us strength and courage to love and serve you, with gladness and singleness of heart; through Christ our Lord. Amen.

The Passing of the Peace
Christ is here right now making peace among us.
The peace of the Lord be always with you!
And also with you.

Announcements and Alleluia Prayers for Birthdays, Anniversaries and Travel!

Final Blessing
May God, who comes to us in the things of this world, bless your eyes and be in your seeing.
May Christ, who looks upon you with deepest love, bless your eyes and widen your gaze.

May the Spirit, who perceives what is and what may yet be, bless your eyes and sharpen your vision. May the Sacred Three cause you to be free.
Amen and Alleluia!
