All Post 6 membership - “Veterans Strengthening America”

Dear Comrades and Family,

I hope you and your families are doing well. This year is flying by April is already gone. We wrapped up our ROTC awards program with great success. The Academic Excellence and Scholastic awards top 10% or better will set the standard for every Cadet to follow. The inspiration of our next-generation service members is remarkable. Young individuals who seek to be pilots, flight medics, logistic specialists, security forces, nurses, doctors, special forces operators, weather diagnostics specialists & even instructors. All these career paths are among our Post 6 ranks, and I am proud to serve you. We would like to stand up a mentor program for these young cadets to tap into in a time of need. Leadership and guidance are what make ordinary careers into extraordinary professions. Every single one of you signed on the dotted line and discovered your true potential. Please share your stories to lead and guide these young Cadets.

Girls State had a great fundraiser sponsored and supported by our Auxiliary team. If you did not get an opportunity to eat a delicious authentic Ukrainian meal please consider donating to support a great program within the Legion. Our youth depend on us to provide productive alternatives as they grow and develop. They are irreplaceable and priceless as many have set out to influence them in unsustainable directions.

From our last meeting, we enjoyed membership involvement. As we continue to strengthen communication I urge every member to read all material issued by leadership. It is important your voice be heard and it is up to you to assist this post in succeeding. Every aspect of the post has grown in 9 months I cannot wait to see what you can do in the next year. The PEC meetings are a very important part of the process when making executive decisions. It has recently been the “Voting” grounds for important decisions. When COVID hit the leadership carried the torch to continue with construction during 2019-2020. In that time frame, the power shifted from membership to the PEC. To include limited small committees in order to expedite construction decisions. We as your current board of directors wish to shift the power back to you. We wish to be transparent and interactive as we digest very important detailed paperwork to best represent you. I will be honest most of the time the documents are overwhelming and dry. However, your post is a large non-profit corporation that you can directly influence by getting involved.

The potential to build on our foundation and core values is endless. I urge you to support every leader and committee within the post to be as effective as possible. So many members have already stepped up and delivered on very detailed tasks. Thank you for your service to Post 6 your sacrifice does not go unnoticed.

Memorial Day historically is one of our largest events of the year. We must continue to remember and honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice while serving our country. Help us plan and support this very special day. We must provide a memorable service to our families past & present. Last year was amazing as we received an opportunity to publicly recognize one of our very own Bud Hampton & Tuskegee airmen John Turner. Our deepest struggles lie in the aftermath of an event. When we must pick up the flags it is a weekday and volunteers are always short. I urge every member who can assist in any way possible to strengthen our follow-through during operations for our big events. Strategically it takes a lot of moving parts I know we will deliver a very special day this year with your help.

We will continue to take feedback so as to improve your post and its internal operations. Professionally our membership is unmatched you should be very proud to be a Post 6 member, get to know each other. I will loudly say I am proud not just of your building but of our brothers and sisters who selflessly served before us. They will not be forgotten. Airborne death from above 1 shot 1 kill Alpha 6 out!
