Trademark Metals Recycling Breaks Ground in Sumter County
Trademark Metals Recycling broke ground on 60 acres of industrial land in Sumter County,
FL. The new advanced metal recovery facility will utilize the latest recycling industry
technology to produce raw materials that will re-enter the global supply chain, and advance
global environmental sustainability. Several years of planning and cooperation between
Trademark Metals Recycling’s management team, Sumter County Economic Development,
SECO Energy, and the City of Bushnell preceded the groundbreaking event.

New Development South of SR 44 Follows Path of Regional Road Agreement
A large driver of the Regional Road Agreement with The Villages® Companies was to continue new investment to Sumter County. In addition to fulfilling the requirement of a new commercial town center (now designated as Eastport) Sumter County is benefiting from the additional commercial investment and entertainment offerings of Middleton, Sawgrass Grove, and the future Eastport. These projects will create a multitude of new jobs and continue to diversify the tax base in Sumter County.
