Mark Raspopov Wins First Place in SIGNA Global Finals Math Competition
Brain Power student Mark Raspopov has won first place in the SIGNA Global Finals math competition.
Mark won the Canadian Math Summer Contest (CMSC) last year, and this year he has qualified for both the Canadian Junior Math Olympiad (CJMO) and the USA Junior Math Olympiad (USAJMO)!

Thoughts on Brain Power: I think my favourite thing about Brain Power is the people you meet and the interactions you have with your peers and teachers. You don't get it anywhere else. I had a lot of fun at Brain Power because of the people I was surrounded with and the conversations we would have in class.
The Canadian Math Summer Contest - 2022 is an initiative by Competitive Kids STEM to provide students across the globe with an opportunity to showcase their talent and develop their skills. The contest is designed to challenge and promote problem-solving, critical thinking, reasoning, abstract or spatial thinking as well as communication skills.
Eligibility: All students from Grade 1-8.
The preliminary round is an online test written between May 1-15.
The final round will be held online on June 18.
Young Voices Magazine, Toronto Public Library's magazine of creative writing and visual art, is full of writing and art created and selected by Toronto youth age 12-19.
You can submit your art, photography, comics, stories, poems and writing.
