THIS SUNDAY
Fairview family, we return on Sunday to our sermon series from 1 Peter, looking at the end of chapter 1. Within that pericope of 1 Peter 1:22-25 rests a sentence that has become a favorite of mine over the years: "The grass withers, and the flower falls, but the word of the Lord remains forever." Peter pulls this from Isaiah 40:7-8 to demonstrate the everlasting nature of God's Word. And so come, hear the living Word preached and taught on Sunday morning as we worship together.
One announcement that I want to highlight for you now is that Sunday at 5 p.m. is our second Vacation Bible School planning meeting. This is a meeting for any who are involved or want to be involved in VBS this summer. We still need a number of volunteers especially with setup and cleanup, decorations, and we can always use more volunteers in the classrooms. If any of those sound like roles for you, join us in the Family Life Center on Sunday evening. VBS this summer is July 18-22.
