On Sunday, April 24th, there will be a Divine Mercy Sunday celebration at 2pm at our SVDP site. It will begin with Mass in French, followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, Benediction, and sung Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

The grades 3-6 francophone catechism students are collecting donations for Phoenix House until May 1st. They are looking for personal hygiene supplies and items, warm clothing, stationary and art supplies, items for children, masks and cleaning supplies, bus tickets and gift certificates. Any physical items can be deposited in the box labelled ‘Phoenix House’ at SVDP and STM by 3pm on April 24th. Monetary donations, bus tickets or gift certificates can put in the collection during the 2pm French Sunday Mass, or they can be put in an envelope labelled ‘Phoenix House’ and left at the parish office at SVDP.

Les élèves de la catéchèse francophone font une collecte de dons pour Phoenix House jusqu'au 1er mai. Ils recherchent des articles et des produits d'hygiène personnelle, des vêtements chauds, des fournitures scolaires et artistiques, des articles pour enfants, des masques et des produits de nettoyage, des billets d'autobus et des cartes-cadeaux. Tous les articles physiques peuvent être déposés dans la boîte identifiée pour Phoenix House à SVDP et STM à partir de 15h00 le 24 avril. Les dons en argent, les billets d'autobus ou les cartes-cadeaux peuvent être déposés pendant la messe en français de 14h à 15h le dimanche, ou mis dans une enveloppe portant la mention "Phoenix House" et déposée au bureau paroissial de SVDP.

You can support the SVDP CWL by ordering Sobeys gift cards this weekend. Cards can be used at Sobeys, Needs, Lawtons, and Sobeys gas stations. Orders need to be received by Sunday and will be available the following weekend.

The SVDP CWL will be hosting a Spring Tea & Penny Auction on Saturday, April 30, from 1-3pm in the SVDP Stewardship Centre. Admission will be $7 per person and will include cheesecake and coffee or tea. Auction items will be on display at 1pm, with draws to take place at 3pm. Tickets available for penny auction during the concert. See posters at SVDP for more information.

Halifax Stand With Ukraine is a festival and fundraiser with Ukrainian food, music, crafts, and more. It runs from 10am to 3pm on Saturday, April 23rd at the J. W. Lindsay YMCA at 5640 Sackville Street in Halifax. All proceeds go to Come Back Alive.
