In tonight's newsletter I'm sharing a new blog post about alternating skeins when working with hand-dyed yarn. I also share a fun finished photo of my Morgan cardigan!

Featured Tutorial:

If you’ve ever knit with hand-dyed yarn before then you may already be familiar with the concept of “alternating skeins.” It’s often recommended with hand-dyed yarn to knit with 2 skeins, alternating every round or every-other-row. I alternated skeins when working on the body of my Azalea top, featured below (knit in the hand-dyed yarn Feliz by Manos del Uruguay, in a semi-solid colorway).
Why would you want to alternate skeins and what are the best methods for doing so? Click the button below to read my blog post all about it, including video tutorials of my 2 favorite methods!
2 METHODS FOR ALTERNATING SKEINS BLOG POST

Featured Finished Knit

Lois and Diane recently shared these great photos - they're wearing their finished Morgan cardigans, courtesy of their wonderful local yarn shop Another Yarn in Burlington, MA!
I had the pleasure of meeting them at a knitting retreat I was teaching at last Fall here in Freeport. After trying on the sample, they both decided then to knit my Morgan cardigan together! They both knit the short-sleeved, sport-weight version in Berroco's Ultra Alpaca Light (there is also a worsted-weight version).
Thank you so much Lois, Diane and Another Yarn shop for sharing these great photos!

MORGAN PATTERN
I love the colors of this purple finch who visited one of our feeders this week. It reminded me of colors you would find in a skein of hand-dyed yarn!
I hope everyone has a nice weekend.
