Journey of the Universe: Educators Retreat
With Sam King
The Center at Mariandale, 299 North Highland Ave, Ossining, NY, USA
July 7-10, 2022

Designed for a wide range of educators, this retreat will draw on the Emmy Award-winning film Journey of the Universe and the legacies of Maria Montessori, Pierre Teilhard De Chardin, and Thomas Berry. It will combine contemplative practices with discussions of how we can orient young people to an animate and interconnected Earth community. At a time of ecological crisis, this retreat will offer hopeful strategies for helping future generations take up what Thomas Berry called the Great Work--the transition to an era of human-Earth flourishing.
