Hi <<First Name>>! To be honest, it was a looong winter. I’m seriously ready for a pick-me-up, aren’t you? Thankfully, the universe is helping us out. New buds on the trees, new birds in the backyard…plus I recently got some great news about Not All Heroes, and a look at the final cover art for my next book! I’m also planning the curriculum for a writing workshop I’ll be teaching in July…maybe I’ll see you there!

I’ve been having so much fun writing a brand new Dog-Friendly mystery, THE DEPARTMENT OF LOST DOGS (due out April 2023), and it is ah-mazing to see it come to life in this doggone delightful cover illustration! For those of you who have read A Dog-Friendly Town, do you recognize some of these characters? The McDade siblings are now two years older and Pico Boone is a rising Italian Greyhound television star. This new mystery is told from Rondo’s point of view and it’s been an adventure finding my way into his complex, Houdini-obsessed brain. I honestly laughed out loud when I first glimpsed illustrator Xindi Yan’s take on Pico’s LuxLux Luxury Sparkle Suit. Hahah! She nailed it!
