As Mayor, what can you do to help us? Our communities have suffered under illegitimate, concentrated repetitive Burbank Airport flight paths for 5 years now and BUR is back up to pre-pandemic levels of 200+ per day, in addition to severe, increased VNY impacts.
Where is the Environmental Assessment that the FAA promised MORE than 3 years ago? The FAA has been running these procedures for years, but the devastating impacts on the people under these paths have never been studied. The jet superhighway over a New Community that never had jet traffic before is not acceptable and has gone on far too long!
Are you still working with Representative Sherman to demand answers about the Environmental Assessment (EA)? Will you commit to working with him to set up a meeting with Secretary Buttigieg about the EA, nationwide NextGen flight path problems, and the need for a community-friendly nominee to take over as Administrator of the FAA?
Will the City commit to filing an Injunction to stop Burbank Airport from moving forward with the New Terminal? Why is BUR allowed to proceed with planning the Terminal at a fast and furious pace while the lawsuit plays out? The City's "cease and desist" letter, while appreciated, was not enough to stop Burbank Airport from moving forward.
Will the City use the Terminal lawsuit to negotiate the flight paths? The Community wants the Terminal lawsuit to be used as leverage to change the flight paths.
Can you make sure that the new City Attorney follows through and continues to fight for us on this issue?
