Hey Parents and Helpers,
We hope you and your family are going well and staying healthy. We know that there is a lot of COVID going around at the moment and so it has been quite disruptive. However, it has also been wonderful seeing the kids and youth back again at church and having the opportunity to connect with each other and Jesus.
As term 1 finishes and we look to term 2, we wanted to let you know of some exciting changes that we have planned. As a team, we have a heart to see people connecting here and feeling loved, valued and known. Especially as we adjust back to church, some kids are rediscovering relationships or truly connecting here for the first time. After much prayer and consideration of a few different structures and many conversations as a team, we have decided to make a few changes to our Sunday morning groups, these will affect mostly our older kids and youth. Our heart is to really help them to make the smoothest transitions from kids church to youth, to church, so that they continue to feel at home here and a part of the wider Northridge family.
Our kids and youth Team will be made up of Kate, Grace and Sam. We will work closely together to offer a cohesive and coordinated approach to how we, as a church, invest in the Children and young people. Our Children's Pastor, Kate Pryor, is currently still on maternity leave. We look forward to her return and what God will do in our Kids Groups with Kate when she is back. We have outlined below the main changes that will begin from the start of Term 2.
So what is going to change moving forward?

Kids Church will change to being called SEEDS and will run for ages 1 to yr 4. Once she returns from leave, Kate Pryor will oversee this group, along with parent helpers. Until that time we will need a little extra help from parents to cover this group. All programming and resources will still be supplied.

At Northridge we have always valued and appreciated the input that our parents and helpers bring to our groups. We continue to believe that this investment in our kids and young people is at the heart of who we are as a community. As a team we are excited to serve this precious group with your help.
Each of our groups will need parents and those with a heart to serve to be involved. (Please note you must have a WWCC number and have completed the training to be able to help, please contact Fea Stephens should you have any questions about this).

SEEDS: Until Our children's pastor, Kate returns, we will be relying on parents and helpers to lead these children. If you feel passionate about Kids and would feel comfortable either leading or supervising let us know by indicating your availability in the poll below.

We hope to ensure we share the load across our parents and helpers, so in your response please indicate your availability for all the given dates. Please email Fea (fea@northridge.org.au) if you have a preference for a particular age group (SEEDS, GROW or THRIVE). We will endeavour to roster you on your prefered group a few weeks in the term.
