COOK + WRITE THIS SATURDAY
Join Us In the Kitchen and Feel the Love
Learn how to make sushi (without the fish!) as we celebrate the sea and gather to nourish ourselves and our planet
Dear friend:
We’re hosting our Cook + Write + Eat workshop this Saturdayat 11 a.m., and we’d love to see you there! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to roll sushi but also how to eat sustainably for a healthy, energetic life. Guest faculty and certified coaches Nancy Murrey-Settle and Elizabeth Reed will guide us on the how-to, and then we’ll write about our experiences—and eat!
More details below. Click on any image to learn more or to register for each event. We hope to see you!
Cheers,

p.s. We’re so excited about our new Author Showcase coming in May! Info below.
It was a #dayinthelife of our interns this month when we stopped by Yellow House to see that sobering show, Screams Echo: Legacy of Lynching, engage with community, and pick up a box of anthologies to deliver to cover artist Erin Kendrick at JAMS, where she is the Director of Education. Now kids there can see that their classmate (featured on the cover), and teacher (Erin), represent and matter in Jacksonville. We’re grateful to work with these outstanding college interns and young women leaders. And check out the work of our other outstanding college intern, Tyla Chambers, who created a new feature on our Instagram account to highlight the writers and artists behind their work. First one was about OCEANS Artist Edmari Hernandez.Check it out HERE!—JW
Last Saturday we hosted a virtual Community ReadAround of our latest anthology (Vol. III, Roots and Branches edition), honoring the roots and branches of this organization by lifting the voice of our founder, Mary Pierce Brosmer, and the many “daughters” found throughout the country—and in this anthology. Thanks, all!
