In line with changes to mask mandates in South Australia, HRSA wish to advise that mask wearing on racetracks is now non-compulsory, effective immediately.
 
The Premier of South Australia has announced that masks are now only required on passenger transport, planes, indoors at airports, hospitals and community healthcare, residential aged cared, disability care facilities and correctional service facilities.
 
The HRSA vaccination policy remains unchanged.

Race 1: Lest We Forget Pace
WINNIE TANG (4) was impressive on debut when she defeated MAJOR WEST by 3.8 metres. The draw will be tricky for her but she does look like a major chance.
LAP OF HONOUR (5) has been knocking on the door for a win since coming to SA. He gets a big opportunity tonight.
ROCKY MONALOO (6) and MAMMA KASS (3) are also chances.
 Race 2: 2022 TAB Kindergarten Series (Heat 2)
LILDABLDOOYA (6) was a winner on debut two starts back when she defeated MISS POPPYS FRIEND by 9.6 metres. If she can pace smoothly tonight, she will be hard to beat against this field.
LAYLAS PRINCESS (2) has been showing impressive signs at the trials and looks like a threat against this field.
WOO HOO LOU (8) and MISS POPPYS FRIEND (1) are also chances.
 Race 3: In Honour of our Mounted Light Horse Pace
VICTORY MEDAL (1) will love the inside draw tonight. His runs for the Shane Loone stable recently have been very good. He is a major chance tonight.
CLARENDEN ENVOY (8) will run a very handy race off the second row draw.
YKIKAFIL (6) will run a strong race against this field.
CANADA BAY (3) looks the next best.
 Race 4: In Honour of our ANZACS Pace
ROCKNROLL YANKEE (5) has ran some terrific races recently against tough competition. He has an excellent record here at Globe Derby. He is a major chance tonight.
TIDAL SURGE (1) has won three of his last five and looks dangerous tonight.
DOUBLE O HEAVEN (8) and ABOVE AVERAGE (4) are also chances.
Race 5: SA Cup's Night Saturday April 30 Pace
ABSOLUTION (1) was disappointing last week even though he faced the breeze throughout. He is extremely inconsistent but it will still be pretty hard for him to lose against this field from gate one.
SUTTER MAN (3), BIEN HOA (4) and BELLA SOFIA (5) are also chances.
 Race 6: TAB Venue Mode Pace
FIGHTING FIRE (6) was impressive two starts back at Port Pirie when he defeated FOOTLOCK by 2.3 metres. He looks like a massive chance against this field.
WESAIDSO (1), TUSCAN STAR (2) and MALACHITE ROCK (8) are also chances.
 Race 7: Hygain Trotters Handicap
ORLANDOS GIFT (1) has been consistent returning from a spell. He has been unlucky to not win a race in SA. He is drawn ideally tonight and looks like a major chance.
KABAYO KING (2), GHENT (4) and MUSCLETONIAN (6) are also chances.

Race 1: Dick White Memorial
DEE (8) returns from a spell after winning two starts before when he defeated ARCTIC PEGASUS by 34.6 metres. If he can bring that run today he will be a major threat.
BARCARDI BINDI (4) will appreciate the mobile start.
FAIRYTALE HALL (5) has won two of her last five starts. She is a major chance of winning if she trots smoothly.
WINSOME RUBY (3) is also a chance.
Race 2: 2022 Barossa Carpet Court Kapunda Derby
EVER HOPING (5) finished off very strongly at Victor Harbor last week to defeat ART JESTER by a half neck. He will be storming home again today.
MONSIEUR STEEL (2), ART JESTER (3) and BIG BLACK BETTY (1) are also chances.
Race 3: Kalleske Chaff Pace
BLOSSOM DELIGHT (5) ran second behind ROCKNROLL TALLARA last start. She is working closer to a win.
SPEARHEAD (2) is a major chance from gate two.
MARIAHS SHADOW (4) and FINAL ROUND (8) are also chances.
Race 4: Austek Roofing Pace
GOLDEN JAYLET (6) meets an ideal field today. He was a winner five starts back at Gawler. If he can produce his best run, he will be a major chance.
FOOTLOCK (2) has been knocking on the door for a win over his last two starts.
ARMA VEYRON (3) and HALF MOON BEACH (5) are also chances.
Race 5: 2022 Mantina Quarries Kapunda Trotters Cup
SCRUFFY DOOLAN (6) has been getting closer to a win since returning from a spell. He was beaten by 5 metres behind C K SPUR. He looks like a big chance today.
MASS DESTRUCTION (7) has been racing consistently and looks like a major chance today.
ALDEBARAN ALISSA (4) and MILLYS MAGIC (5) are also chance.
Race 6: Envirocopper Pace
GROWLERS LAST (2) has run two placings in his last two starts. If he can repeat his recent runs he will be a major threat today.
MISANTHROPE (1) will appreciate the inside draw for his first SA run.
CRUSING BELLEW (5) and MELODY MAY (8) are also chances.
Race 7: 2022 Ryan Racing Kapunda Pacing Cup
JIMMY MACK (6) has been close to perfect in this Cup Series so far. Coming to Kapunda is a massive risk for him today 6 days before the big one at Globe Derby. If he is anywhere near his best he will be too good for this field though.
WRANGLER (1) will run a strong race off the inside draw after taking out the Victor Harbor Cup last week.
MOTU PREMIER (2) and CULLENBURN (3) are also chances.
 Race 8: MEH Plant & Equipment Pace
WHISTLE ON BY (6) returns from a one month break. Her form last month was very impressive. She is a strong chance against this field.
ABSTRACTOR (1) will run a strong race from gate one.
LETS GET SHORTY (3) and SOHO BOB (7) are also chances.
 Race 9: JT Johnson & Sons Pace
CELESTIAL DAYBREAK (1) should hold the lead from the inside draw. If he hits the front early he will be very hard to run down.
ILLAWONG GERRY (5), EASY ROLLING (6) and WEEROONA BOY (4) are also chances.

R1 – M Borg (CAPTAIN THUNDERBOLT NZ) – Rule 163(1)(a)(iii) – Suspended 14 days commencing 24/4/22
General: Mon 28th March – R6 trainer F Pullicino – VALDEMAR – Subject to HRSA Elevated TCO2 Policy – Horse to be presented 4 hours prior to scheduled start time for the next four race starts.

Charge 1 – Failing to comply with a direction of the HRSA Board’s Covid Policy when not having proof of vaccination. The Stewards issue a reprimand.
Charge 2 – Failing to comply with a direction of the Stewards in accessing premises under the jurisdiction of HRSA when not compliant with the HRSA Covid Policy.  The Stewards announced a fine of $400 and ordered that an amount of $200 be suspended for a period of two years on the condition that no further instances of the Trainer not complying with a direction of the Stewards (Rule 238) occur in that period.
Saturday night sees the re-opening of the Paceway restaurant.  Please book if you are able to.
 
Bistro will be closed (this will occur every Saturday night from now on).
 
Fundraising BBQ's will be conducted by our associations in the Jubilee room. SAHRC are happy to assist with these fund-raising nights. This week Lois and Veniece will be cooking as clubs aren't quite ready. 
 
SA Cup night,
Bookings are essential in the Paceway restaurant as the Committee room is also booked for a function.
SA Trotters Association will be cooking the BBQ in the Jubilee room. 
Also in the Jubilee room there will be the band "FORTUNE-X" which is a 4-piece cover band playing everything from ABBA to ZZ Top with hits ranging from 60's onwards.  Thank you to Lou and Dianne Trotta for their sponsorship.
 
In front of the grandstand there will be a variety of food vans from Norm's Doughnut's to Fairy Floss,  Beer Van, TAB Van, Yiros Van, Coffee Van, Face painter and Balloon  designer, so plenty to amuse the children. On top of that,  the cream of our Pacers and Trotters strutting their wares - so make sure you remind all your friends to come along and support your local industry.
