New Workshop from Adelaide Business Hub

Sarah Davidson, otherwise known as Spoonful of Sarah on Instagram, is one busy woman! The lawyer turned self-described 'funtrepreneur' is the face behind the bestselling book and podcast, Seize the Yay.

Sarah is leading a business empire that includes Matcha Maiden and the Matcha Mylkbar (Chris Hemsworth's favourite cafe in Australia). She is a TV presenter, MC, and speaker. It's fair to say she knows a thing or two about seizing opportunities.

In this Lunch & Learn held over Zoom, Sarah will be chatting with the Adelaide Business Hub about her journey as an entrepreneur and the lessons she's learned along the way.

This session is available for South Australian business owners only and is brought to you by the Adelaide Business Hub which is the South Australian provider of the Australian Small Business Advisory Service. Under the program, eligible businesses can also receive 3 hours mentoring with an expert for the low cost of $44.

Free Tool for Tourism Industry Businesses

Many would remember the Limestone Coast Wine Trails (or Mixed Dozen Project) and the great itinerary planner website highlighting all the tourism businesses of the Limestone Coast, Southern Grampians Shire and Glenelg Shire that was created (you can check it out here www.limestonecoast.org.au).

What isn't widely known however, is that there is a range of tools for businesses to connect with regional visitors. These include logo's, digital social tiles and other assets to help you get the word out, plus a range of printed collateral is available too - great for trade events!

Businesses can even embed itineraries and the planner into their own website.

Download the toolkit here. It provides quick and easy ways to use this fantastic tool in your business – it’s a brief two pager. Alternatively, if you use a digital agency to manage your socials, you can pass this onto them for some content inspiration too.

Super to Cover More Employees

From 1 July 2022, changes will be introduced to expand the super guarantee eligibility so that employees can receive super regardless of how much they earn. Employers will need to pay their employees superannuation if they are earning below $450 per month, provided they meet other criteria.

As we move closer to 1 July, ATO encourage you to check that your payroll and accounting systems have been updated so you can correctly calculate your employees' super guarantee payments. Your digital service provider may be able to assist with further information on how and when they will implement software changes to reflect the new requirements.

ATO will provide further advice and guidance on this change, including updating our online tools and calculators on 1 July 2022. Read the full article here

JobPass

From 1 July 2022, JobPass will benefit more workers and businesses, as more licences and registrations become part of the Automatic Mutual Recognition of Occupational Registration scheme. JobPass allows work licences and registrations to be automatically recognised interstate, without delays, additional fees and lengthy paperwork.

To be eligible, you must hold and maintain a licence or registration in your home State or Territory that covers the activity you intend to carry out elsewhere in Australia. State and Territory Governments may also require workers to meet additional eligibility requirements.
