We would like to give everyone some notice that we will be having some building works completed during and after the half-term break.
Both classes in Years 1, 2, and 4 (and possibly Year 3) will be having new floors laid.
This will mean that classes will be move location for 1 week each; so that the classes can be emptied, and floors re-laid.
More information to follow when we have further details.

(Kirkby Town Centre 1972 - Do you remember 'Woolies', Currys & Radio Rentals?)
Our School Council met before Easter and a group of staff met to chat about what events we could plan for the final week of term.
We hope to have dressing- up activities, competitions, street parties and other events for the children to enjoy.
In preparation for this week we are requesting your help.
If any of your family have items hidden away from the past 70 years we would love to see them.
They may include items from the 1950’s,1960’s,1970’s, 1980’s, 1990’s,2000,2010’s etc:
• Clothes - (flares/ shell suites/wedge heeled shoes/mini-skirts/kipper ties)
• Toys - (Cabbage Patch dolls / Train sets / Tiny Tears/ Roller boots /Small bikes)
• Technology- (mobile phones (or none mobile phones) / radios / kettles / toaster)
• Music - (CDs/cassette players/LPs/instruments)
• Photographs/postcards/birthday cards)
We will of course take the very best of care and will label all items. They will be put together in the small hall to form a mini- museum.
More information to follow next week.

Wellbeing and Live Simply
|
|
|
Living Simply can help us to care for God’s earth and each other.
This week the task for children, staff and families is to have a day next week when you go “un-plugged.”
This can be difficult at work or in school so maybe have an evening when the family go “un-plugged”. It will also help lower energy bills by not having to charge devices.
Have a go and “Live Simply.”

Attendance - Reporting Absences
|
|
|
Reporting ALL absences is even more important at the moment. This helps us to reduce the risk of Covid-19 spreading.
Parents please make sure you follow our procedures carefully.
Please email Admin@smaaa.info on the first day of ANY absence. You may also telephone school on 0151 477 8400
Tell our admin staff the reason for the absence, and when you expect your child to return to school.
We thank you for you help and support with this important matter.
Please note:
All unexplained absences will be looked at by our Attendance Lead, & possibly the School Attendance Service, so it's really important that you report all absences by 10am on the first day of absence!
Remember if your child is off school due to illness, hospital or dental appointments, you must also send an email with a copy of the medical letter / proof to Admin@smaaa.info
We cannot authorise any absence without proof!
|
|
|
|
|
If your child needs to be off school for reasons other than illness you must make a request using the following form. School will decide if the request will be authorised and send you a letter.
Any pupil having an absence without making a request will be classed as unauthorised – so it’s really important that you inform us!
