Earth Day

Celebrate Earth Day outside with a Spring Scavenger Hunt. Make a mason jar terrarium and bring home a wildflower seed bomb to plant.

Bake Sale at the Jumble Sale

This year, the bake sale  will be held at the Welcome Desk on Saturday, April 23 and we need your SWEETS! The Church School hosts the bake sale with profits in support of both provincial and international aid organizations.  Help the UNHCR for Ukraine to provide life-saving protection for families fleeing their homes. Also, assist the efforts of The House of Lazarus which provides outreach programs to support those in need in the Ottawa area.

We ask that all goods be individually wrapped for sale, and clearly labelled if they include nuts.  Baked goods may be dropped off to the church this afternoon or tomorrow morning before 10 am.  BONUS: There are NO CALORIES if you donate your sweets!

Jumble Sale - Saturday, April 23rd

Thank you to all who have helped with the Jumble Sale. The 'big move' on Tuesday was very successful, and the 'sort' is well underway.

It has been fun to watch as we navigate to our new normal.  Some things are very different, some are happily the same. It has been great spending time working together, sharing conversation and laughs, working toward a common goal.

One last request for our first ever Jumble Sale. A few more volunteers are needed for Saturday. We need people to help sell the donations we have been given. If you can arrive at 9:30, we will be ready to go at 10:00. For those who are wondering, everyone in the building will be required to wear a mask, and shields will be available for the volunteers.

This is a two part request. We also need a few more volunteers to help with the cleanup to ensure that the church is 'ship shape' for Sunday morning.

Thanks to those who have already volunteered for these opportunities. Please let me know if I can add you to my list.

Together we can do more! Thank you for your support.

Explore God through a young child’s eyes as we listen to the story: How Big is God? by Lisa Tawn Bergren.

When a young boy asks his mother where God lives, she tells him “in your heart.” This inspires a slew of curious questions: Is he invisible? Is he like a superhero? Can he fly? How can he be everywhere all at once?

In this heartwarming conversation between mother and son, all the ways in which God exists are discussed and the possibilities are endless. Through bright, dreamy illustrations, How Big Is God? captures the immensity and wonder of looking at God—and the world—through a young child’s eyes.

Create your own picture of what God looks like to you.

Materials:
