In celebration of the conclusion of spring courses, we would like to invite all Ed Studies grad students to stop by Ramseyer 139 or PAES A340 anytime between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Reading Day (Tuesday, April 26) for some snacks! Snacks will be available while they last, so stop by if you get a chance!

Apply for the new Anti-Racism in Education certificate program in Ed Studies

Anti-Racism Certificate Promotional Video
This certificate program enables students to engage in a focused study of the historical context, theories, values, and aims of anti-racism work within educational projects (across a broad range of settings). This course of study will equip students with the understandings necessary to carefully evaluate and/or endorse existing or novel educational efforts. This certificate can be pursued both concurrently with a graduate degree and stand-alone by non-degree seeking students. Join for an info session on May 5 at 1 p.m. (register).

Seeking GRA: ODI Strategic Diversity Planning, Training, and Assessment

ODI Strategic Diversity Planning, Training, and Assessment is hiring for a 50% GRA for Summer 2022, Autumn 2022, and Spring 23. The GRA supports several areas of the unit and reports to the director of Strategic Diversity Planning, Training, and Assessment. The GRA will work in the areas of strategic planning, DEI Education, and evaluation, and will have the opportunity to support the diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts of diversity leaders across Ohio State. We are looking for someone who is willing to apply their research and administrative abilities to the unique focus of this office. Candidates that enjoy working with people of different backgrounds and perspectives and have a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education and encouraged to apply. OUAB Grad/Prof Quiz Night
Hosted by the Ohio Union Activities Board. Join us as grad/prof students get together for a night of trivia and fun! Pre-arranged and impromptu-created teams compete in a night of trivia. Prizes are awarded to the top team of the evening. Check in begins at 6:30 p.m.  First question begins at 7 p.m. All teams must register for each quiz night. Please visit ouab.osu.edu/grad-prof/social-engagement-programs/quiz-night for more information on how to register. Teams may include up to 50% non-student guests. Due to overwhelming popularity, registrations the day of the event may not be available. Check out the website for fuller details. The registration period for a quiz night begins at the conclusion of the previous quiz night.
The Educational Studies student newsletter accepts announcements and events that pertain to the department’s graduate student community. The submission deadline is noon every Thursday.
