AFAM, Shasta and Yosemite news:

1) We would like to welcome our new Yosemite mentor - Jean Prevot ( Ch 198)!
A food enthusiast at heart, Jean has worked in the food and dairy industries since the start of his career.
The Yosemite program is designed to help existing and future entrepreneurs understand and develop their companies in the USA. If you are an entrepreneur or if you have business ideas or a product you want to develop on the American market, contact us to join Yosemite program today!

2) On April 8th, AFAM organized first-of-its-kind meeting "American visas: information and testimonials": you can read in our blog about this past event;

3) AFAM participated in an "Entrepreneurship ecosystem" meeting on April 13th to talk about our new Yosemite program and our first mentees;

4) AFAM is about to launch a new program - Sequoia - aiming to help students willing to study in American Universities. If you are both an A&M and any American University alumnus/alumna and are willing to help AFAM build this new program, please contact us to talk about it!


5) In our Shasta program there are several students looking for internships (in Mechanical Engineering, Supply chain, Finance, Oil & Gas, Data Science, Nuclear Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace and other sectors). If you work in a company which hires engineering interns, please contact us to talk about it.

Student #1
Objective: 2-month internship in the tech industry or University laboratory
Starting date: 20 June 2022
Skills: SolidWorks, 3DExperience, Fusion360, Python, Microsoft Office, Arduino, project management
Current Status: Currently in first year at Arts et Métiers. Will apply for a J1 visa

Student #2
Objective: 6 months internship in aerospace industry/research, or aerospace manufacturing
Starting date: January 2023
Skills/Experience: 1 month as technician trainee in an aerospace manufacturer; group project designing an innovative rotor for VTOL aircrafts / Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT), 3DX (Catia, Abaqus, SolidWorks), MatLab/ fluent English.
Current status: second year student at Arts&Metiers, incoming student at Georgia Institute of Technology beginning Fall 2022, Msc in Mechanical Engineering. Will apply for a J1 Visa
