FÉILE WEEKEND

FOOTBALL FÉILE WEEKEND FOR GIRLS AND BOYS

Feile is a right of passage and an opportunity to get great gear and make lifelong memories.

This weekend we have two girls teams in action at Somerton and Silver Park with games throwing in on the hour from 10 in Castleknock and on the half-hour from 10 30 for the B's at Crokes. Hopefully, there might be a Semi or a Final too.

The boys have been playing an extended Féile over the past eight weeks and two of our teams are in Finals action on Sunday.

The A's at Clontarf in the D2 Shield at 1-30 on Sunday and the B's at Parnells in the D7 Cup at 12-30.

Best of luck to all and have a great time.

FÁILTE

Well done to everyone on furnishing the home for Ukrainian families.  We got a lovely letter from the family who donated the house which tells it better thatn we could ever...

THANKS - FURNISHING A HOME FOR UKRAINIANS

The family who pledged a home for Ukrainian families would like to say GRMA to everyone in the Cuala community who responded so quickly and with such generosity to the call for furnishings.

A particular word of thanks to Hilary who took on the challenge to co-ordinate the collection at short notice and with great enthusiasm.

Through the wonderful practical help of Cuala members, the house is now a comfortable home for three Ukrainian families.

Thanks

SONGS FROM THE HEART

SOCIAL HURLING IN THE COMPANY OF GIANTS

Our Cuala Social Hurlers attended a 7 team Blitz on Easter Saturday kindly organised and sponsored by St Olafs GAA club in Sandyford.

One of the teams we played was Castlecomer from Kilkenny and when the helmets came off at the end of the game who did we recognise only the legendary Martin Fogarty, the GAA's National Hurling Director and assistant manager to Brian Cody for six of Kilkenny's hurling All Ireland wins.

Great to rub shoulders with (and give a couple of shoulders to!) a legend of the game.

EVERY DAY'S A SCHOOLDAY

Over 70 coaches attended last Friday's Coaching Workshop. Excellent keynote from Derek McGrath and great practical sessions from Donal, Ken & Bláithín, Mark & DOC, Seán, Jake & Michael and Naoise & Liam. Well done to Shane, Ken & Mark for organising.
