A Message from Rosewood Co-op: We're growing!
Rosewood Housing Coop is expanding to a second location in East Austin, opening up ten new housing spots for coopers in our community! We spent the majority of our community's savings in order to secure this lease and we are having a fundraiser to help cover the upfront costs of opening up a brand new cooperative house. Donations go towards expanding cooperative housing in Austin. Every little bit helps us! Suggested donation of $25.

We've already had 3 classes this year! Attendance is growing, and more folks are interested in starting or converting to co-ops. There are several unique class offerings coming up:
- May: Co-op Round Table, come ask quesitions and learn from seasoned local cooperators! Friday, May 6th, 11:30 AM - 1:30 PM CST. Free, virtual, Spanish interpretation available.
- June: Focus on Co-op Finances, brush up on financial management for co-ops. All levels welcome! Wednesday, June 15th, 6-8 PM CST. Free, virtual, Spanish interpretation available.

Ever Wonder How Big the Co-op Movement is?

Want to know how many worker co-ops there are in the US right now? Well check out the latest results from the bi-annual worker co-op survey! The Democracy at Work Institute and the US Federation of Worker Co-ops found that the number of worker co-ops in the US has actually grown by 30% since 2019, especially impressive given the difficulties of starting a business during the pandemic. The results show that co-ops are resilient businesses even in the face of significant challenges, as many adapted and pivoted operations to keep workers employed rather than laying them off. Curious?
