Bellingham Makerspace Newsletter
May 2022

Hello from the Makerspace!  We have exciting news for you.

Featured in This Issue:

Introducing Phoebe Clark, New Operations Manager

The Bellingham Makerspace welcomes our new operations manager, Phoebe Clark. She grew up with artist/maker parents. Her earliest memory of making things was creating pottery with her mother at age 2 or 3. She enjoys knitting and gardening and is recently proud of her 3D-printed letter opener that looks like a pink dagger. She comes with experience working with other nonprofits and teaching preschool. As an operations manager, she communicates with people in our community, sets up programs, and participates in planning our Maker Fair. She’s also working with the retail space, the gallery, and consignment. She enjoys helping people make what they want to make and achieving their dreams.

Thank you, Phoebe, for your enthusiasm and leadership.
Welcome!

Feature: Wakey Nelson

Wakey Nelson has been involved in the Bellingham Makerspace since it was The Foundry. She said, “I know my way around 90% of the equipment for creating cool stuff. I’m also the screen printing tool champion and teach the print classes once a month.” She enjoys having access to the fun tools and “the awesome community of cool people.” She also helps with the retail space and is “working with Phoebe and the board to get local artists and makers into the space.” Her favorite projects are both useful or functional and “super fun to look at or use.”

We’re delighted to have Wakey as part of the Makerspace community!
