Niwot Elementary’s Scholastic Book Fair is here - come check it out!

From April 25th - 28th, students will have the opportunity to shop for their favorite books and supplies during school. The book fair will also be open after school on April 25th - 27th until 4:30pm. All purchases will benefit Niwot Elementary. We greatly appreciate your support!

Here are a few important reminders:

1) . The main method of payment for students at the Book Fair is eWallet, a safe and secure alternative to cash. Get started with eWallet at https://tinyurl.com/niwotbookfair.

2). Support our Classroom Teachers - we will have gift cards, teacher wishlists, donation bins, and small items for sale. All proceeds will support teachers purchasing new books for their classrooms.

3). If you can’t make it to the Fair, then shop at our school’s Online Book Fair until May 4th. Your online orders will also benefit our school! Learn more about online shopping here

Happy shopping and see you at the book fair!

Greetings Niwot Families!

We are thrilled to see all the terrific ways in which our students are making a difference for the earth and are excited to send trees home today with 100 students (we had over 130 students submit their Earth Day picture and/or writing)!  If your child comes home with a tree sapling, we want to make sure you have a few quick resources to help with its planting and care.

1.  Please plant your sapling as soon as possible and soak roots in water before planting.
2.  Dig a hole about 12-18 inches wide to ensure the roots have room to spread out.  You may need to break up the soil if it is compacted to ensure the roots can get air and water.   Add compost and mulch if you have it and water thoroughly.  Detailed planting instructions are here
3.  If you can't plant right away, then store the bare root sapling in a cool, dark place... and then plant as soon as possible.
4.  After planting, follow this guidance to keep your tree healthy and thriving!
5.  Send us pictures of your trees if you can!

Thanks for helping your child plant a tree in our community and for making a difference for our planet!
A reminder that there is no school on Friday, April 29 as this is a non-student contact day. Enjoy your long weekend!
