Thank you for supporting the Seattle Metaphysical Library
Hours
There are so many different places that are trying to be the Yellow Pages of the Internet (for those of you old enough to remember the Yellow Pages!).  It's difficult for us to keep track of every place that has our hours.  I'm going to try to keep the hours on the website, and on Google updated.

             Friday                     2 pm - 6 pm
             Sunday                   2 pm - 6 pm

We may also be available for appointments at other times.  Feel free to call at 206-329-1704 or (425) 387-5186 .  A few days' notice will greatly increase the likelihood of having someone available.
Intellectual Freedom
Our Library's main tagline is "Books you can't get at the Public Library"

One of the reasons our books are not at the public library is because they are old, and the pubilc libraries do not like to carry old books.
But another reason is because the libraries do not consider the material we have to be worth holding for the public.
The Director of the American Libary Association's Office of Intellectual Freedom, Deborah Caldwell-Stone, will host an online discussion of how they choose what books they approve for public libraries.
https://kcls.bibliocommons.com/events/623caccc28d99b46000e63f0.
This event requires registration, and takes place Wednesday, May 18, at 6:30 pm.
If you are at all concerned about the Cancel Culture that has overtaken our society, this might be a good event to attend.  Or not - you never can tell!
Wheel of Tarot
Sunday, May 22, 1:30 pm PDT
and every two weeks thereafter

At this time when things are warming up and life is renewing, we are starting our Wheel of Tarot class series with the ancient Beltane observances as symbolized by The Tarot.
While this does not mean different interpretations of the symbolism of each card, it does mean a deeper intuitive connection as we also access the seasonal energies. Beltane has an especially exuberant energy of creativity, which is why I think this is a great place to begin a trip around The Wheel of the Year.
For those of you who were part of our Wheel of Tarot class a few years ago, this will not be a repeat.
We are now meeting on Zoom every two weeks, which will allow time for meditative pathworking and related activities on each of these points on the wheel.
I hope you can make it, but if not, feel free to jump with us onto the Wheel at any point that works for you!

Rudolf Steiner: A Documentary Biography

Our library carries a large collection of books by and about Rudolph Steiner.  See our catalog section "Steiner" in the Booklist section of our website.
The Real Anthony Fauci: Bill Gates, Big Pharma, and the Global War on Democracy and Public Health
by Robert F Kennedy Jr, 2021
As director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Fauci dispenses $6.1 billion in annual taxpayer-provided funding for rigged scientific research, allowing him to dictate the subject, content, and outcome of scientific health research across the globe—truly a dark agenda.
During more than a year of painstaking and meticulous research on his laptop and through interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. unearthed a shocking story that obliterates media spin on Dr. Fauci . . . and that will alarm every American—Democrat or Republican—who cares about democracy, our Constitution, and the future of our children’s health.
Making the Ordinary Extraordinary: My Seven Years in Occult Los Angeles with Manly Palmer Hall
by Tamara Lucid 2021
Tamra’s noir chronicle of an improbable friendship between a twenty-something punk and an eighty-year-old metaphysical scholar reveals Hall not only as an inspiring esoteric thinker but also as a genuinely kind human being who simply wanted to share his quest for inner meaning and rare wisdom with the world.
But when Tamra begs Hall to banish a certain man from the PRS--the same man who inherited Hall’s estate and whom his wife Marie later alleged was Hall’s murderer--Tamra and Ronnie are the ones banished.
