Launch of Digital Roll of Honour
Today, ANZAC Day 2022, we are extremely proud to launch our digital Roll of Honour.
In 2020 Museum of Perth historian, Shannon Lovelady, visited our Town Hall and saw our magnificent marble Roll of Honour proudly displayed in our entrance. This was the beginning! Shannon photographed and transcribed it, and with the aid of a team of expert researchers many of the soldiers have now been identified.
Today, with the launch of the digital Roll of Honour you can view the entire Roll of Honour online, plus, you can delve into the history, dates of enlistment, occupations, addresses, personal stories and photographs of soldiers who were in some way linked to East Fremantle. Clink on the below link and the photos of the soldiers.
'There is an incredible amount of passion and hard work that has gone into the launch of this digital Roll of Honour and we would like to acknowledge Reece Harley, Shannon Lovelady and the team at Museum of Perth for making this possible,' Mayor Jim O'Neill.
The Town of East Fremantle and Museum of Perth welcomes people who recognise their family members on the Roll of Honour to reach out and make contact via info@museumofperth.com.au
