Carnival Planning Day - Sun 15th May

LBAS has been invited to take part in Art on the High Street on Tues 31st May

We have added a POP Up exhibition on Friday 3rd June as part of the Queens Jubilee Celebrations

We have booked to take part in the Leighton Linslade Carnival on Saturday July 9th - please keep the date free. The theme is 'The Musicals' , we plan to hold a creative day to get started on float planning and making on Sunday 15th May - we plan to paint Posters from the Musicals, all materials provided. This will be at Sallys House in Heath and Reach. Do get in touch if you would like to help / be involved. If you cannot join us on this day, no problem (or excuse!) - you can create at home in your own time. I think this will really be a kick off and planning session . We want your ideas / input.

We are also having a Pop Up Exhibition at The Linslade Canal Festival on Saturday 30th July. More details to follow, but again - please put in your diary

NEW - Art Appreciation Group
This is planned to start soon, this will be essentially an art history group although may look at contemporary artists too sometimes. This is being organised by Sarah Cripps and is planned as an evening meeting. If you are interested, please get in touch with Sarah. This will probably be run as a small group, meeting in someones house, probably once a month or once every 2 months. (it doesn't have to be your house!) If there is a high demand we may create a few groups, or change the format. Could you please contact Sarah to express your interest in this  sarahcrippslb@gmail.com

The program of workshops and classes is on our website - there are a few more to be added towards the end of the year, but we are now taking bookings. If you are interested in attending please let us know,

We are ready to start the next round of sketchbooks. Many of you will have seen them at the exhibition. So now is the time! Message Tricia (email below) and join the next one. They are good fun, it is lovely having this little art gem drop through your door every 4 weeks or so. Be part of it!

This is well under way with several sketchbooks on their travels or completed. The completed sketchbooks are available to view on our website here. If you would like to join this project, or have already been involved and would like to be in another sketchbook, please let Tricia know, the next group can then be prepared (you may well be mixed with different artists). There are many new members who have not yet joined a sketchbook - do get in touch if you would like to have a go!

Contact Tricia at the email address below, if you would like to join the project.
