Weekend workshop with Stuart Shepard Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th May 9:30am–4:00pm at the Scout Hall on Cliff Street On Saturday we will create a 3D life form in clay. As a model slowly turns on a stool, we will slowly turn our lump of clay and form it. Day two we will slice the form in two, hollow it out and reconnect it.
It is then ready for firing should you wish to do this in your own time. If we have time we will then practice some life drawing from memory, using our recent 3D experience.
Please bring any simple working tools you have. Stuart will bring some to share with those who don’t have any. You may want to bring some brown paper to protect the table and floor.
We will have a simple shared lunch both days. There are tea making facilities in the hall, and chairs and tables.
The number of attendees is restricted to seven. Phone Dyana on 0210367717 or email dyanawells@gmail.com
Full payment will confirm your place. Payment is refundable up until the start date only if your place can be filled.
Cost is $180. This includes up to 20kg of brick-red hand building clay and a life model for the first day.
