Join us now (Sunday 4 pm et) for a free screening of "Dance of the Orcas," a film by Iya Omiyemi Artisia Green, to kick off the 10th Anniversary Conference of the African and Diasporic Religious Studies Association (ADRSA)

Inspired by the real-life story of Tahlequah, an orca who pushed her deceased 400lb baby calf-a girl-with her head, through the Pacific Northwest for 17 days, the choreoritual "Dance of the Orcas" draws on Afro-Cuban and modern dance forms to take the viewer on a journey from grief to the freedom and redemption that comes from learning to let go.
