  • PVCC has two employers recruiting in PVCC's Student Center on Tuesday, April 26:  U.S. Navy & Reserves (10:30-2:00) and UVA Catering Co. (12-2pm). Stop by to learn about the many benefits they offer to students both while in and after going to school.  UVA Catering pays $15+/hour (DOE) plus provides sociable and flexible working hours!  
  • Virginia Career Works (VCW) hosts a weekly virtual job search prep workshop on Tuesdays, at 2pm. This week's topic on April 26 is Job Search Strategies. Registration required. Their Thursday, April 28, 1pm, Employer of the Week is  Black Rocket Tech/Digital Arts. If you love teaching K-12 students about technology (no experience necessary; they will train!), check them out. Registration required. They pay $15-20/hour (DOE). Or apply by visiting their website.
  • Apex Systems is hosting a virtual IT / STEM Job Seekers Workshop on Tuesday, April 26 at 12:30pm.  Registration required
  • The State of Virginia / VEC is hosting a Virtual Job Fair on Wednesday, April 27, 1-5pm. Registration required. A number of colleges/universities (including UVA) plus some other state agencies (including the Va.   • ODU is hosting a career exploration webinar on the World of a Lab Technician on Wednesday, April 27 at 12:30pm. Registration required
  • Attention aspiring (or current) Conservationists.  The 2022 Virginia Land Conservation and Greenways Conference being held in Richmond, April 27-29 is FREE for students!
  • National Student Leaders Society at PVCC is sponsoring a Volunteer Day with the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA on Friday, April 29, 11am-1pm.  RSVP requested.  They have jobs so if you love supporting a great organization that supports animals, this would add to your resume!

  • Virginia Career Works' Employer of the Week is Black Rocket Tech/Digital Arts is on Thursday, April 28, 1pm. If you love teaching K-12 students about technology / digital arts (no experience necessary; they will train!), check them out. Registration required.  They pay $15-20/hour (DOE). Or apply by visiting their website.
  • A private family in Earlysville seeks a part-time or full-time Child Care Provider for their two children with different developmental delays. Pay starts at $15/hour during training.
  • First United Methodist Church seeks a part-time Children's Ministry Coordinator paying $8-10,000/year (~10 hours/week).
  • ReadyKids has a part-time STAR Kids Educator who will work Monday – Friday, morning hours (approximately 9:00 am – 1:00 pm) with paying $17.31/hour during the fall 2022 semester.
  • Farmington Country Club seeks summer Camp Counselors to work M-F, 8:30am-3:30pm (no weekends!).  Free meals daily.  
  • Animal Hospital of Ivy Square seeks a Veterinary Assistant paying $11-14/hour (DOE). This does NOT require a Vet Tech license. Apply by emailing ahisdoctors@gmail.com
  • Kroger has a number of openings but they're particularly looking for Pharmacy Technicians with a starting salary of $12.15/hour. You do NOT need to be currently licensed but able to earn that within 8 months of being on the job.
  • Boar's Head Resort is hiring for the upcoming season (both full-time and part-time). They have sports (assistant tennis pro, apprentice gold pro, fitness/exercise instructors, pickleball coordinator, aquatics), guest servicesloss prevention officer, nail technician, child care providerdining services including bartending and more!
  • Keswick Hall seeks a full-time Esthetician. They also seek a Massage Therapist (plus a Lead role as well if you have more experience) and a Spa Supervisor.  
  • Trump Winery posted a number of positions on CCN (open to all to use) including part-time Tasting Room Associates, Albemarle Estate Breakfast *and* Dinner Servers 
  • Valley Health (Winchester) seeks a full-time Surgical Technician paying $25.02 - $31.28.
  • The Virginia Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Control seeks full-time Special Agents at statewide locations paying $68-80,000 (depending on location). They are participating in the State Job Fair on Wed. April 27, 1-5pm.
Do you like doing administrative, accounting, or creative work?
  • PVCC seeks a part-time Human Resources Assistant to work M, T, W (on site) with paying $15.50/hour.
  • The Heart of Storytelling seeks a paid Graphic Design Intern ($500 for completion of project).
  • Room to Discover, a cool education start-up has both a full-time Digital Marketing Assistant position paying $35-45,000 and a part-time Internship that pays a weekly stipend of $250. 
  • Community Investment Collaborative (CIC) seeks a Summer Operations & Project Assistant Intern interested in supporting under-resources micro-enterprises with both financing and operations. They are paying $15/hour for 15-20 hours/week. Apply by 5/25/22 (or sooner since they would like to get this hiring done soon!) by emailing careers@pvcc.edu.
  • If interested in learning more about finance, UVA Finance will be hiring 3-5 PVCC students for their summer internship which pays $13/hour. Apply by May 5 through the UVA Temps finance pool linkMention the UVAFinance internship when contacted by the recruiter.
  • Ting seeks a part-time Marketing Event Intern who will work closely with the local Marketing Manager on marketing events and promotions tied to local construction and sponsorships through event activations, social media, and email marketing. This pays $16/hour for 16 hours/week.
  • Monticello is seeking a Museum Technician to assist on an as-needed basis throughout the year to maintain historic interiors and collections spaces. This probably pays $15/hour.  They also have a full-time temporary Administrative Assistant opening.
  • UVA's School of Law seeks one or more Faculty Assistants. They reached out to us so don't let the words, "bachelor's degree preferred" keep you from applying. Be sure to write a good cover letter when submitting both your resume and professional references.
  • C4K / Computers4Kids seeks a full-time Clubhouse Coordinator paying $50-58,000. They request a bachelor's degree OR equivalent experience. They also posted a full-time Advancement Manager position that pays $47-55,000.
  • Clean Virginia seeks a part-time (20 hours/week) Temporary Operations Manager paying $36/hour. Apply by 5/9.
  • UVA's Cancer Center seeks entry-level full-time Access Associates paying $14.77-22.89/hour. They are also seeking full-time Senior Access Associates with paying a sign-on bonus of up to $3500.  Plus they have a part-time position as well!
  • UVA has reposted the Fiscal Assistant and Event Coordinator position for the Dept. of Music which pays $39-41,000. Having marching band experience would add to your application!!
  • Management Services Corporation (MSC), one of The Caton Companies, is looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Associate to join their growing Accounting department. Associates Degree or 1-3 years entry level accounting experience is preferred.
  • Keswick Hall is hiring a full-time Conference Service Manager.  
Do you like computers or doing other technical/STEM kinds of work?
  • Apex Systems (an employment assistance firm based in Richmond that sometimes has local jobs) has a link specific for college STEM / computing students.  They currently have a local IT Service Desk opening for someone who has a TS/SCI clearance. They are hosting a free virtual job seekers workshop on Tuesday, April 26 at 12:30 pm.

  • UVA Information Technology Services (ITS) has multiple openings for a Classroom Support Technician. The Classroom Support Technician installs, maintains, and supports technology-enhanced classrooms. Anticipated Hiring Range: $20-23/hour (equivalent to $41,600 - $47,840 annually).
  • Ting seeks a full-time entry-level Service Technician (on-the-job training provided). 
  • Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) Limited seeks full-time entry-level Construction Technicians paying $15.50-20/hour in multiple locations around the state (including Charlottesville).

  • Micron (in Manassas) seeks Shift Technicians. Shift equipment technicians monitor tool performance, schedule and perform preventative maintenance on assigned toolsets, and use mechanical, electronic and PC/software skills to troubleshoot and repair equipment while operating under the constant pressure inherent to a lean production facility.

  • UVA Catering Co. pays $15+/hour (DOE) plus provides sociable and flexible working hours!  Be sure to talk with them on Tuesday, April 26 in PVCC's Student Center between 12-2pm. 
  • The Local is hiring for a number of positions including Catering Servers, Bar Staff, Kitchen Staff and Captains/Co-Captains with starting rates of $18-25/hour + tips.  
  • the catering outfit is hiring for all part time positions. They are seeking weekend warriors for bartending, serving and event cook positions
  • Yay Lunch is hiring part-time School Lunch Delivery Drivers paying $17.50/hour + mileage.  Work 9:30am-12:30pm. 
  • The Jefferson Madison Library seeks a part-time Courier with paying $11-$17.60/hour with prorated benefits available, requiring 30 hours per week.  
  • Albemarle Parks & Recreation is still hiring for summer positions - Beach Manager, Head Lifeguard, Maintenance Worker, Recreation Leaders and Cashiers.
  • Monticello seeks a full-time Trails and Natural Lands Manager.
  • Trump Winery seeks a seasonal full-time Harvest Cellar Intern paying $16/hour (housing is available).

  • Goodwin William Staffing was great to post an Off-Road Dump Truck Driver position that pays $16-18/hour that does NOT require a CDL license. There is a Lead Process Specialist which assists in the build-out and operation of a Demonstration Plant with paying $22/hour during the day and $24/hour during the night. They also posted for FT Order Picker/Packers ($14.75/hour) and Warehouse Replenishers ($16.50/hour) to work in Gordonsville. Check them all out on CCN - a job listing resource open to all to use.
